Buying Chinese goods isn't making rice so expensive that Chinese people are starving to death.

You might want to update your research on Americans' quinoa habit starving Bolivians.  Per NPR:

It still tastes like ass.

So I'll just mark you down as preferring rice then....

Really depends how you cook it.  I make a quinoa based risotto that is amazing...prefer it over the rice varieties I make.

But agree, that it is often prepared in terribly unappetizing ways.

Stir-fry tonight.

White rice, brown rice or quinoa?

So what did you choose?

[Personally, it depends on the veggies and sauce, but basmati is my default.]
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

They never disappoint.
I finally got a chance to listen to this (not referenced: The National - Sleep Well Beast) end-to-end today.  The first few times i only got 3-4 songs into it and struggled with it but once through it all, holy crap is it good.  Turtleneck is my favorite right now, the punk edge suits them well.

Different topic from somewhere else in this thread.....Gorillaz concert was super cool.  Not 'blow me away' awesome but if you have a chance to check them out you certainly should.

The other day I had my first Honeycrisp of the season.  Outstanding, of course.  But when they're out of season and the price doubles, it's back to the pink ladies for me.

Getting back on topic, if you live in a place that does not sell Entenmann's Little Bites and you are forced to eat Hostess Mini Muffins, we are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

On the bright side, maybe you could get a colonoscopy without going through the prep.

Good.  I sense he's working 18 hour days.   He's responsible for all the billeting onboard Empire State where lots of the FEMA guys are staying.
