I had a bowl of Alpha-Bits this morning.

It tasted like 1975.

I saw the headline about something being a "Code Red for Humanity" which I assumed was about Arby's sauce.

Kinda a bummer finding out it was about climate change.

I was hoping it was about Mountain Dew.

Speaking of Mountain Dew...

https://www.reuters.com/business/retail-consumer/pepsico-launch-mountain-dew-branded-alcoholic-drinks-2022-2021-08-10/

https://www.businessinsider.com/alcoholic-mountain-dew-set-to-launch-in-early-2022-2021-8

Do the Dew (responsibly)

I have a neighbor (whom I have not yet met) that puts at least 2 cases of Mountain Dew cans out with his recycling every week.  They are on the curb in a separate bag so I can't miss it.

I just don't get it.  Also, I assume this person is both overweight and hyper.
Have some patience, FFS.

I lost 15 lbs in a few months just changing from regular to diet dew.  I was also 24, but was probably drinking that much a week.

A very good guess. Sugar and weight aside, that much caffeine is very dangerous. I like a large mug of French press coffee in the morning but that's it for the day, so I cannot get too preachy. With that said, I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that pure caffeine is an extremely powerful and highly addictive drug. Fortunately, the amount in a mug of coffee is slight. I recall that the article was written by someone who was well qualified to comment from a scientific point of view.

You would fit in well in our Company employees drink Dew by the case . In road trips they get the 32 ounce cup.

Some people take it to the extreme and have their Dew with a box of Mike and Ike

Pikers.   I watch young firefighters drink 2-3-4  Monsters/Red Bulls/CB4's a day.   Too much caffiene for me.

I drink 3-4 12oz. coffees every morning and occasionally will drink another in the afternoon. Is that too much?

I typically go to either the Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic sites when looking for health and medical answers. I know that there have been studies showing some important health benefits from coffee but typically the caution about too much caffeine relates to the temporary increase in blood pressure.

So...."is that too much?" is a question for your primary care physician who will take your current health and health history into account. The Mayo Clinic site will get you started but the only medical advice I will offer is "talk to your physician".

Ditto when I switched from Coke to Diet Coke at about the same age.  Now I limit my soda intake to a Diet Dr. Pepper a couple times a week.

I have coffee in the morning before heading to work but rarely drink it for the rest of the day.

Pretty confident I've heard many many times that diet soda is even worse (though in a different way) than regular.

If you drink 1-2 pops a day max, drink regular.

More than that, the sugar is worse for you than the aspartame.

I don't drink coffee, so my Diet Dr Pepper consumption is around 5 cans a day.

Should drink more tea, but I just don't.

I do drink 2-3 gallons of water per day, so hopefully that's flushing the old system enough.

2-3 gallons?   Water intoxication!

Give me an article with Imperial measurements or I don't know what you are trying to point out.   8-)

A few years ago my parents got a lake house in Amish country in Michigan and my god do the Amish love their dew. Every time we go to the gas station/liquor store there’s always Amish there with their horse and buggy stockpiling Mountain Dew. Must be the closest they can get to a high or drunk

I whizz a lot due to drinking a ton of water.

Mid 40s is prostate and colon screening time though, either way.
