Can we continue the nachos are good/bad discussion in here?

IMO: nachos are bad.

"Nachos at the ballpark where I can evenly dip each chip to the amount that I want? Perfect

Nachos at a bar where ingredients are haphazardly piled on a pile of chips so each bite is uneven and impossible to get a decent mouthful and are surely left with chips with no toppings at the end? Awful

It's like when you get a poorly made/mixed burrito and your bite is all rice or lettuce or salsa"

I prefer tortilla chips without the molten cheese, with salsa and guacamole for dipping.

The first time I had nachos was in the 70s. I was in Houston at a game in the Astrodome, and had never heard of them. They were simply tortilla chips covered in jalapeños, with a cup of molten cheese on the side.

Nachos good.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

I don't care what size they are as long as you can stab them with a fork. What is with the rock hard ones?

Yeah, see the stabbable croutons don't really exist as they usually crumble.

Maybe we should go into business, New and Improved Stabbable Courtons.

A few restaurants will make good stabbable croutons sautéing cubes of their day old bread in a little butter m, but not enough of them do.
Have some patience, FFS.

Between this and your nachos philosophy, it could be that you are my culinary soul mate.  :D

USPS rant:

I ordered a book from Magers & Quinn Booksellers in MPLS. I live in Rochester, 87.4 miles away according to Google maps. According to the tracking, it went from MPLS to Des Moines yesterday, Des Moines to St. Paul today, and will probably go from St. Paul to Rochester tonight for delivery tomorrow.

I'm not upset about the extra day or two. But my book will have gone on a 570-mile journey just to get less than 90 miles. And we wonder why USPS is having a hard time competing with FedEx and UPS....

I ordered something once where the tracking said it was at my local post office (my zip code, a couple of miles from where I live). It took them 4 days after that to actually put it on a mail truck and deliver it to my house.

I’ve been receiving my regular mail as late as 9 p.m. some days.

I actually had a prescription sent from Wauwatosa, that went Downtown Milw, then Oak Creek, then Downtown, then went to Maryland back to Oak Creek, then to New Berlin, another New Berlin stop, then my Home...  This happen 3 different times...  I could've taken that Rx and walked  backwards and got it to  my home 3 days earlier...

Just the laser printer?  Consider yourself lucky.  One of our likes to find a higher spot, and create a pukefall.

I suppose usually it's the floor somewhere.  Or a chair.   And it's never right on top of the laser printer, it's off the side to do maximum damage, laser printer, paper, desk, floor.

About 5 months ago I put aluminum foil on the laser printer to freak him out, and that worked until last night.
