So as of today, there is only one Blockbuster video store left.

But I gotta admit, I'm surprised there is that many....

Since 1983, Hustler has sent the porno mags in plain manila envelopes to every Congressional office.

This is an overlooked perk of being elected.

Seriously, I hope he makes the best of his opportunity in the midst of the $hitstorm going on down in Baton Rouge. Yikes!

This reminds me .. What's the deal with Instagram?

So .. apparently teens shun Facebook and use Instagram instead.  My 12 year old started using it a few weeks ago, so I've been observing more carefully.

Instagram is owned by Facebook.  Instagram is clearly the lesser platform.   Far less functionality.  Less ability to tune your feed.

Facebook is constantly getting slammed for privacy issues .. Instagram has like zero privacy controls!

As far as I can tell, someone follows you*, that's it, you can't stop them from seeing your posts in the future (unlike Facebook.)

* Yes, you can mark your account private and then you need to accept "follow requests."   Seems like most people are public.

Maybe that's the difference?  On Instagram, you have zero expectation of privacy and everything is public?  How that's a plus, I know not.

Rarely post on Instagram but it's fun to follow food blogs, breweries, distilleries and sports teams on there. I think it's the easiest platform to monetize because there's no standard to get sponsors or become an "influencer"
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Looks like Bucky's QB decided to transfer to a high-major program:

Lol probably good for them. That guy was the quintessential mediocre quarterback

So were there any sightings of a bat in the Forvm this season? Or at least a cockroach?

A Badger fan at work and his sons are flying out to Vegas tomorrow to watch the NCAA tourney at some sports book. Problem is they didn't check the calendar and booked 1 week too early. "Oh well, we'll watch the conference tourneys and have just as much fun". Ah, no, I doubt it.

Been there for conference tourneys, probably more fun actually. Different fans, constant games.

Yup, we've done brackets for the conference tourneys for like five years now. Changes from year to year, but usually we'll do the Power 6 or throw in a Big West and a Mountain West.

$2 per individual bracket plus $10 each for the overall total for all bracket. It's a lot of fun, and even if you really screw up one of your brackets there's still a chance to get your money back.

For whatever reason, I've always been rally good at nailing down the Big 12. Think I've won that bracket every year except one.

Well, ya gotta admit, the NCAA kinda downplays the Dance so it can be pretty hard to find the dates beforehand..... ;)

Checks out with my impression of the average Badger fan's IQ.

"Death of the World's Greatest Car Salesman"

https://blogs.mprnews.org/newscut/2019/03/the-death-of-the-worlds-greatest-salesman/

I can see being upset about getting fired, but after a point, he was just being petty:

He borrowed $10 from his manager to buy groceries and sold 18 cars during his second month on the job. But the owner fired him after complaints from other salesmen. Girard went to Merollis Chevrolet in suburban Detroit and set sales records year after year.

But Girard never let go of being fired. Every year he mailed a copy of his W-2 to his old boss, with a note at the bottom telling him, "You fired the wrong guy." After his old boss died, Girard says he even took a W-2 to the cemetery and buried it atop the man's casket.

I hope he redacted his Social Security Number on those W-2s.  :D

LOL - I thought the same thing. If the former boss wanted to get back at the guy, he could do it without even breaking the law. For example, he could just post a pic of the W-2 online and let others take care of the rest.

I was on Menomonee River Parkway, a couple blocks off Pilgrim Road.

Man, 2019 could have been a great year, I could have had something to live for after the NCAAs.
