One of my best friends while growing up is Mike Zimmer's brother.

I also went to high school with Terry Gannon, lead Golf Channel host, host of Olympic figure skating and 6th man on Jim Valvano's 1983 championship team.

And, I've stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

What is the point of having a blimp over a basketball arena? And if it's just to show the area, why does it need to be during the game?

Not exactly a celebrity, but...

At my sister's wedding, I met the attorney who wrote the legislation legalizing the recreational use of marijuana in Colorado. He is my brother-in-law's cousin.
Have some patience, FFS.

My cousin was the lobbyist responsible for popping the cap on 6% beer in North Carolina!  Before her efforts, NC didnt allow beer over 6% alcohol.

Went to grade school with US Senator Ben Sasse (R-Neb) who could one day be president

My mother became besties later in life with the mother of actress Marg Helgenberger of CSI, China Beach, and several mediocre movies fame. She was married to an actor named Alan Rosenberg who was in LA Law. Have had several dinners with them.

Got hammered in a Washington DC Hotel with Charles Barkley at the 2001 NBA AllStar Weekend. Later in the evening Mark Cuban rolled in with Dirk Novitzki and Steve Nash and a whole harem of groupies.

Almost knocked Sheryl Crow on her ass as she was exiting a bus in Manhattan.

Sat between Pauly Shore and Paris Hilton at a party on Star Island in South Beach.

In 1992 I did a summer internship in Pittsburgh, and the company had a box at Three Rivers Stadium. Former Brewers catcher Ted Simmons was the Pirates GM by then, and his box was the next one over.

One day I got to go to a game and was wearing a Brewers cap. Ted walks into his box, looks over and sees me in my Brewers cap, and points to his head and mouths "nice cap."

I peed next to Jim Belushi.  It was his bar, afterall.

Also drank to excess with the band The Wonderstuff in the Crow Bar in Chicago.

My wife does yoga and bikes with Donald Driver's wife.  I've met him a couple of times but am still awaiting the invite to catch a Packers game at their house.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

I hear the secret to your boxing success is that you play the bagpipes immediately before the match so that your opponent's hands are over his ears instead of in front of him.   ;D

My best golfing buddy went to dental school with a guy who practices in Houston.  Befriended Donald driver and ran his golf outing for many years up and thru when he won the dancing with stars contest.  Anywhooo, they asked me to fill in one year and our first duty when we got down there was to pick up Aaron Rodgers from airport and bring on over.  Golfed in our 4-some all weekend, ate drank and even did a little dentistry on him.  My buddy still texts him on occasion, before games, etc.

You mean there is more than one movie that stars both Lori Singer and Chris Penn?

Well, I kind of like to think of it as starring me, with Singer and Penn in supporting roles.  But, if you want to get all technical about it, yeah.

Fun fact that I learned just yesterday: there's a pic of a pre-MU StillAWarrior on IMDB.  Who knew?!
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

Anyone here go to County Stadium to be part of the crowd during the filming of Major League?

I remember hearing about it, but decided not to go. A few friends went and said it was pretty boring.

Yes, at the time I owned a restaurant at 60th and vliet st. we fed the crew and stars for a couple of weeks. I remember we got some Cleveland Indian caps from them.

Was in a local-ish commercial with Dan Jansen.
Met Sinbad at a Bucks ECF game in 2001.
Met Xena the Warrior Princess at Universal City Walk in LA. She was there to perform music. Who knew?
Got invited to parties at both Rihanna and Jenna Jameson's houses. Didn't get to make it to either, though.

I gave Brittney Spears a campus tour, back when she was gonna be going to MU.

Met Frank Gifford, Alex Webster, Rosey Grier, Sam Huff and the rest of the NY Giants before an exhibition game VS the Bears when I was maybe 11 - my Dad was a friend of Giants head coach Jim Lee Howell in the Marines during WWII.

Met Ted Williams and Bobby Richardson at the American Legion World Series banquet in 1967 (keynote speakers).

Met Leroy Butler and Antonio Freeman at a taping of "The Pack Attack" at Turners (my daughter produced the show).

Met Dan Carey on multiple occasions at various venues.

ChitownSpaceForRent

Know I chimed in earlier but I met a decent amount of athletes like MU82

Kirk Cousins and Vernon Davis are really, really good dudes. OBJ is really funny, Eli Manning is a nice guy for how famous he is and Steven Gerard is dumb as a rock.
