I was so bored last night that I called Jake from State Farm and he asked me what I WAS WEARING!

Why isn't Captain Crunch an Admiral by now?

No where to promote him until Admiral Nelson retires

Red? Admit it. You're a badger fan posing as a Marquette fan.

Jake wears a red sweater in the State Farm ad, so I am just going with the flow.

I only own Warrior gear and paraphernalia, including my Marquette Warriors jacket.

Whenever I meet a Badger fan I always make a point of asking: "Do you miss Bo Ryan?"

Go Warriors!

My daily journal, 5/17/2020 (a rainy Sunday in the time of COVID):

Breakfast and coffee
Nap
Lunch

Afternoon coffee

My wife has watched a couple of old movies - A Few Good Men and Something About Mary - and she is the overachiever in the family today.

4 inches of rain in a good old fashioned all day rain storm will do it.

Yeah, it has been a wet one.

And we have a basement that doesn’t like all-day rainfall.  :-\

Yeah, we have a powerful commercial fan that gets plenty of use in the springtime.

The previous owners of our house did a DIY insulation/drywall job in the basement, which we subsequently suspected was mostly to cover up wet basement blocks. We already removed most of the drywall and some of the insulation. This summer, we plan to strip it back to the basement blocks so we can apply something like Drylok and just keep it open.

Ha! Unfortunately, it took too long for us to find out about it. And even if we had learned earlier, it would have been too much of a headache for the small judgment we might have won.

Neither. The previous owners just framed the walls with 2x4s and then added insulation and sheetrock. Not mudded and taped, no ceiling or floor coverings, just roughed in.

We considered finishing it when our daughters were young, but really never needed the extra space so we left it.

Bought a new car a couple months ago.  Earlier this week I notice a tire is flat.  (I don't drive much these days.)  So I set an appointment up with the dealer to get it fixed or replaced then go out to put the spare on so I can drive it to the dealer.

But there is no spare.  There is a "Tire Inflation Kit" instead.  It allows you to fill up the tire with some special sealant so you can drive to get the tire fixed.

I'm blaming it on the millenials.

Wow - I didn't even know they sold new cars without spares. Good to know I need to ask next time.
