Speaking of Quaker Oats cereals, who remembers Quisp and Quake?

Ah, the good old days when breakfast cereal could list "sugar" as its first ingredient and no one cared.

Yep. I also remember the Quisp vs Quake commercials and "voting" promoted by the company.

Back in the day, I got a few Brewers bobble heads at game giveaways. Most of that old stuff got lost or tossed when my parents divorced and sold the house.  :(

I still look for Puffa Puffa Rice in the cereal aisle. No, not Puffed Rice.

So a "mix-up" causes a hospital in England to circumcise a 70-year old man who was there for a bladder procedure? Ooof.

Gotta love the guy's classically British understatement about learning of the mistake: Brazier added that finding out he had been circumcised was "a real surprise." Yeah, I'll bet...

i have a whole shelf of those i keep forgetting about.  including the racing sauseeeges.  i probably should do an inventory.  all from the beginning of miller park when i had season tickets.  richie sexon, geoff jenkins, damian miller(w/removable catchers mask) ben sheets and quite a few more.

people would always be standing outside the exits with a fistfull of $5's ready to take them off your hands.  you could see them on ebay that night and the next day for $20 and up

well, as long as you're down there, just a little off the sides eyn'a?  something about, so your hand don't slip off the front?

When my friends and I weren't playing "cigarette tag," we sometimes would play Quisp vs. Quake.

Piñata apple update: Despite my urging to use them as the name indicates, my wife - both quintessentially frugal and a glutton for punishment - is slowly soldiering through her bag of apples. No ill effects, other than a dour look on her face and subtle mumbling about "never getting these again" whenever she eats one. She has taken steps to minimize the unpleasantness, like slathering small slices with peanut butter, but I still respect her perseverance.

I think it comes from the stories about how her grandparents, mother and uncle escaped from Yugoslavia during WWII with nothing but the clothes on their backs....

TSmith34, Inc.

I found whole bundles of Pinata's bundled up and stuck in the 10 for $1 discount bin at Kroger.  Thankfully I read Scoop and knew to stay far away.

Thank you Scoop!

Was stuck in a weather delay in St Louis . The Chili's in the airport was hopping and they had some very perky wait staff .  Highly recommend it .

I just found out that one of my daughter's RAs is from Madison.  On the one hand, that troubles me.  On the other hand, she did have enough sense to get the hell out of Madison.

Ain't nothing wrong with getting out of Madison.  Worked well for me.  Worked even better for Wes.

It's not her RA's fault that her parents chose to raise her in Madison.
Have some patience, FFS.

Which is exactly why I give her credit for having the good sense to get the hell out.  I'm just hopeful that there aren't any residual and/or contagious effects.  Her freshman year away was probably a sufficient quarantine period.

Did her RA cut off her rat tail yet? That's the sure sign in the de-Madisonizing process.
