Thoughts on dipping a slice of pizza in Ranch dressing?

Ranch dressing should be outlawed.

Brewpub in the French quarter in NOLA, on a whim I tried a crawfish pizza.   Plumbing got punished that night.

Depends on the toppings.  Chicken and bacon? Yes.

Plain cheese?  Pepperoni?  Most of your basic pizzas?  Acceptable

Fancier pizzas, with toppings such as prosciutto or fig?  No

Affirmative.

Or at the very least, they ought to restrict its use to people who live on ranches.

Pretty much all foods are actually just ranch delivery systems. Pizza happens to be the best ranch delivery system.

Sounds like my daughter's view on ketchup when she was younger.

Speaking of which: ketchup or catsup. (Hint: the correct answer starts with a "k.")

I gotta say i really appreciate the love for pesto from you and RS.  I like a good home made red sauce, but a crap pesto is better than a really good red sauce every time.

I don't think we're giving pine nuts enough respect.  A pesto, pancetta, cremini, pine nut pizza with parmesan, mozzarella and a over easy egg (cremini sautéed in the pancetta fat) is the money shot.  unfortunately i now sub chicken thigh in for the pancetta but it's still a worthwhile pie.

Heinz Ketchup
Hunt's Catsup

It's a branding thing. Though I don't why anyone would eat something called "catsup."
