Made a quick tweak on the chart anticipating the official Morrow announcement.  Bottom line, it means that there's ONE available scholarship to be used either this year (not) or next year (Hauser or somebody else).  Of course I know that Wojo can always over-sign by one and there's always the possibility of a future transfer.  But we don't roll that way on the recruiting thread until something dictates.

Again, welcome to MU Ed.

Well, now with the fantastic addition of Morrow, I wonder what our next move is.....cough pls BD cough

It's all about Joey now.

True, but theres always the potential to add a grad transfer for this year. I know the list has been picked over, but who knows, maybe we're interested in someone.

When Rowsey graduates, MU will need a guard.  Or two.

We have quite a few offers outstanding. if we have a prospect out there who is willing to commit then sign them up.  I am very keen on Jeenathan Williams. Best neck of the bunch.

Sounds like we will get an early summer decision from Jeenathan.

Wojo just keeps on keepin' on.

And yet if Joey decides to go elsewhere, there will be yahoos on here ripping him, as if he didn't try hard enough or something.

I already liked where this program was going the second Wojo landed Henry. That view only solidified after Henry left and Wojo brought in Sam, Markus, Rowsey and Katin. That view solidified further after Bailey, John, Elliott and now Morrow.

Regardless of what Sam's little brother does, Wojo, Stan & Co. are doing a heck of a job putting Marquette back on the national map.

Don't forget we also have Ike. He is going to be a huge fan favorite in coming years. The kid is a seriousnpogo stick.

So at the beginning of the year we'll dress 10.  In mid December Harry dresses and we go to 11.  That's plenty for next year. The following year Morrow becomes eligible and maybe somebody like Ike redshirts to balance things out a little.  But this fall all the Frosh dress/play to keep our numbers healthy.

From 247 on J.Hauser

"UW remains optimistic with their chances for the top 50 forward. The play of only offering Hauser in 2018 has made a big impression, per sources. In fact, that was Gard's main closing pitch to Hauser."

Interesting nonetheless.

Earl Tatum

Gard is making a very strong move for Joey. Trevor Anderson is transferring from UW-Green Bay to Wisconsin. He was the PG
on Sam and Joey's Stevens Point D-1 Championship Teams.

If Joey choses Wisconsin, it won't be because of Trevor Anderson.  That's like choosing which four star restaurant to eat at based on the napkins.

MUEng92

So we are supposed to believe a former high school teammate transferring to Wisconsin is the tipping point for Joey to chose Wisconsin?  Because this obviously outweighs a former high school teammate who also happens to be his brother.

Does UW only have one scholarship for that class?  If not, wouldn't that actually be an idiotic approach?  Why would that player not think "what the hell are you thinking?  Who's gonna help me you incompetent shmucks?"

Earl Tatum

No! It isn't. That is what Gard probably thinks. Just like DePaul
hiring the LL Coach in Indiana. Think they will get big time recruits.

They already have Herro committed so yes they only have 1 more spot open in that class.

Only because there hasn't been any proof Wojo and staff actually tried to get a grad transfer

Would you rather play with a friend or your brother?

At this point, they only have 1 scholarship remaining. They already got Tyler Herro in that class. Of course that means Trevor Anderson won't earn a scholarship if they land Joey.

Like Marquette, Wisconsin can be selective and go after big fish in 2018.

There is ample proof that Wojo and staff went after two. Cameron Johnson and Egor Koulchov.....who also happen to be the best grad transfers on the market this year. Probably an indication that the staff is really confident in the players they have and was only interested in top talent.....of which there is none left on the grad transfer market

I swore Pitino selected his restaurants based on the place settings

GoldenDieners32

We offered some guard in the 2019 class im pretty sure today, forgot his name. He doesn't matter A.T.M but Wojo and Stan need to be seeing Joey at least twice a week. If i was joey i would want to come to MU because i would have seen Sam start right away as a freshman and get tons of minutes
