That is good news. I noticed in the side bar listing other top stories on Mlive.com was this nice morsel.  Interesting recruiting environment for MSU.

What does this have to do with MSU's recruiting environment?

I think the bunker needs to be prepped and ready for next week.  Maybe even double duty.    :)

I hope it's Joey possibly pulling the trigger, but has he taken any officials yet?

That seems like it would be a quick turnaround for a transfer/grad transfer with no buzz about a visit.

JH will likely make his own splash wit his annowsment. Doesn't need ta do it amongst all da hoopla wit udders. Woodn't get two much wood over him 'til da summer recruitment period, hey?

Okay, let's get this Jemarl Baker discussion where it belongs.

So this top shelf SG decommits from Cal when Martin leaves for Mizzou.  Makes senses.  Happens frequently.

Are we on him?  Have we offered?  Did Stan or somebody have a relationship with him?  Has he been visited out on the left coast?  Is this the reason that Elliott's interest has been apparently peaked over concern that Baker might beat him to 'one' Frosh scholly?

And most importantly, do I need to update the chart?   ;D

Personal opinion, glow, his name was mentioned, but there's no real indicator of how serious it is. I'd hold off getting too excited until we see a visit or finalist list. Shouldn't take long considering how late we are in the recruiting cycle.

Reinhardt announced on April 9th and he never visited MU.

Stan is working hard on the Jemarl front. The competition is fierce , however we have minutes available now that Duane has moved on to greener pastures.

How do you know Stan is working hard on that front?  If you have evidence of that, please share

Greg Elliott's the prize this spring.  Get him and anything else is gravy.

Truth.

If Wojo gets Elliott this spring and Joey Hauser to sign next fall, MU will be able to play with anyone in the country.  It's that simple.

Hah. I hope we land Greg, but I'd rather land Baker. Greg will be a fine player, but he is nothing to get too excited about from all I can gather.

The real prizes for 2017 are on the transfer market.

Pump the brakes Ted. Elliott is outside the top 150 and we won't be able to play with anyone in the country. Good grief

Daniel

It happens so often that we are so excited about the potential of getting a recruit, and then when it looks like we might get him, we say he's not all that great for x y z reasons etc.

jsglow

So here's a question for you guys.  Let's say that Elliott commits this week and then Baker calls us and agrees to come a week after that.  Do you take both and then limit the third scholly to ONLY a grad transfer such that there's room for Joey to sign for '18?  Discuss.

I trust Steve Bell knows more about Michigan players than any national experts.

http://bankhoops.com/michigan-player-rankings/

A team that includes Howard, Cheatham, Elliott, Cain, both Hausers, John, Froling, Eke, John and another recruit in 2018 won't be able to compete with anyone in the country?  Top 10-15 team in my mind.
