Thanks TAMU.  Now, who's got a list of potential grad transfers.

If Jeffrey Carroll of of Okie State came free, I'd be very happy to add him.  Rs-Jr, great athlete and shooter.

A few names I've seen already:

Geno Thorpe, SG, South Florida
Jack Whitman, C, William & Mary
Nick Fuller, F, Nebraska
Khris Lane, F, Longwood

We R Final Four

Isn't Nick Fuller from Sun Prairie who previously played in the Scion summer league with MU players?

Yes he is. Me thinks he drops a level. UWGB or Milwaukee, perhaps?

Geno Thorpe could be a good fit/replacement for JJJ at the 3.

It may seem opportunistic, but the reality of a coaching change is that recruits often back out of their commitments and reopen their recruitment. I thought I'd list out the top recruits who committed to coaches who are no longer employed with their original schools.

Michael Porter (Washington): 6-10 213 lb SF from Seattle. #2 per 247.
Jeremiah Tilmon (Illinois): 6-10 220 lb PF from East St. Louis. #29 per 247.
Daejon Davis (Washington): 6-3 170 lb CG from Seattle. #47 per 247.
Jaylen Nowell (Washington): 6-4 175 lb SG from Seattle. #61 per 247.
Justin Smith (Indiana): 6-7 210 lb PF from Chicago. #72 per 247.
Jemarl Baker (Cal): 6-2 165 lb SG from Los Angeles. #73 per 247.
Galen Alexander (LSU): 6-6 215 lb SF from Louisiana. #100 per 247. *Was previously recruited by Wojo
Trent Frazier (Illinois): 6-2 170 lb PG from Miami. #107 per 247.
DaMonte Williams (Illinois): 6-2 180 lb PG from Peoria. #109 per 247.
Brandon Rachal (LSU):6-6 220 lb CG from Louisiana. #122 per 247
Blake Harris (Washington): 6-3 185 lb PG from Raleigh. #126 per 247.
Clifton Moore (Indiana): 6-10 202 lb PF from Philly. #143 per 247.
Thomas Allen (NC State): 6-2 180 lb SG from New Hampshire. #151 per 247.
Juhwan Harris-Dyson (Cal):6-4 190 lb SG from North Carolina. #156 per 247.
CJ Roberts (Mizzou): 6-2 178 lb PG from Dallas. #173 per 247.
Mamoudou Diarra (Washington): 6-9 205 lb SF from South Carolina. #203 per 247.
Javon Pickett (Illinois): 6-3 180 lb SG from St. Louis. #231 per 247.
Aljami Durham (Indiana): 6-4 175 lb PG from Atlanta. #239 per 247.
Trevin Knell (Cal): 6-5 175 lb SG from Utah. #261 per 247.
Justice Sueing (Cal): 6-7 205 lb PF from Los Angeles. #291 per 247.
Alex Hickman (Cal): 6-4 170 lb SG from Los Angeles. #357 per 247.

No inside info, but given proximity, previous relationships, and need I will be keeping an eye on Jeremiah Tilmon, Justin Smith, and Galen Alexander.
would be a good pick up if we could get one of those 3

I will take a dead eye 2G or a combo guard with size, please.

Thanks TAMU.  Two of the three guys you mentioned have real size.  I wonder of Wojo is open to adding another Frosh big at this point especially following Froling's commitment.  Hopefully we land Elliott and this becomes moot.  I really can't see him seeking anything but a grad transfer if the commitment comes in.  He's going to want some ammo next year.

Give me Elliott and let's roll.

Tilmon can give you some firepower as a freshman. He's a 5 star by some services.

Alexander has athleticism and that ideal switchable frame. I'm not sure how his defense is, but size on the perimeter is something we are sorely lacking.

Smith is just close. I honestly don't expect us to go after him. We seem to avoid the Chicago market....for good reason.

If we went after anybody from this list I think it would be Alexander. I expect Cuonzo to make a hard run at Tilmon. He's originally from East St. Louis IIRC.

Ditto.

When will he decide?

Answer hasn't changed from a week ago. After his visit to MSU in April.

He is. Until he commits somewhere else and then all of the sudden he will be a scrub who probably wouldn't have cracked the rotation.  ;D

Could Elliot be waiting for Brian Bowen to make a decision (or is Izzo's offer conditional on Bowen not coming)?  Per the DePaul board Bowen is deciding between MSU and and AZ but was seen in Lincoln Park recently and is apparently friends (teammates?) with a couple of DePaul 2017 recruits.

Or just there's actually some semblance of any kind of mutual interest between MU and Elliott, unlike anyone else on the list.

What does that have to do with him being a better basketball player?

Ok, so bird (kinda) in the hand.  I can get that.

In terms of potential, though, how does he compare to TAMU's list?

Diener has 44 points against Milwaukee Washington. Depaul is getting a great player

Nothing. But neither does him not being a better player have anything to do with me wanting Elliott and to move on, which is the post he quoted. Of course I'd take Porter over Elliott. Or any of our recruits. But it's not happening. So I'd be happy to land Elliott (because we have a chance) and roll with what we have.
