Offered 2017 SG Greg Elliott... https://twitter.com/GE3__/status/816025449214119936

Another Detroit kid. Skinny but can flat out score.

Hadn't seen this name before. Seems to be an under the radar prospect. We are his best offer as of now. Second best is Temple.

Seen them play before they are crazy

One of these days I hope we recruit some big bodies who can bang it out in the BEast.  But fun watching our shooters this year.   Need strategy no bodies and rebounding force.  Go Marquette!

We have 3 recruits coming in next year. The smallest of them is a 6'7 SF. The other two are big 4/5 types.

Then you should be thrilled about John, Cain, Eke, and Bailey.  There are extra schollies now available.    A wing guard is now a need.

Has anybody seen Greg Elliot play in Michigan, if so, what are your thoughts?

Damn. 46 points in a high school game? That can't happen often.

Haven't seen him, but have heard discussion about him. Athletic, long arms. Combo guard but probably more a 2/3 right now than a point guard. Good shooter.

Might be overshadowed by teammates, his AAU program is The Family, which pumps out D1 prospects (including Ike Eke) and his high school, East English Village, just had PG David DeJulius commit to Michigan.

Likely will need time. Very skinny, needs to work on ball handling and playing under control. Right now he'd be the kind of kid you take a flier on without much expectation.

I would be satisfied if we landed Elliott. For 2017, I think we could really use two more freshmen, ideally a wing that can also play guard and a big man.

We could also use someone who can play the point, but it's not a pressing need and could wait until 2018 when we are in on some bigger fish like Courtney Ramey, TJ Moss, and Ayo Dosunmu. However if we don't add a point now, it's important to leave two scholarships open for 2018, one for Joey, and one for a potential Howard heir.

Anyone know how things currently sit with Race Thompson for 2018?

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

I think he is the part of the line that starts behind Joey.

i would take a flyer on one kid, and hope to find one grad transfer big next year, if possible.  2018 you have Bailey and hopefully Joey, so it would seem MU should
be able to find one guard to come in.  They have a year and a half to show some love,  Thanks.

Even the best players dont score that many points that often but I wouldnt say its super rare. Ive seen a ridiculous amount of high school games and I think ive seen around that many points scored by one person live about 5 times. Twice by Jon Scheyer, twice by Abdel Nader and once by Lorenzo Dillard. He was one of the most talented players ive seen at the high school level but an absolute nutcase.

Ryan Boatright would also put up crazy numbers, but never say him play in person.

Solid thoughts considering whom comprises the recruiting class for next season.

Take it easy on him.  He's probably not a teacher at Yale.

Recent article quoted him saying 4 schools were recruiting him the hardest and I think Iowa State and Minnesota were a couple of the schools.  Marquette wasn't mentioned in that article.

Yes. Good gets.  Maybe I am mistaken but thought Eke and Cain were on the thin side.  John looks like he could be tough too.  Height of all three is nice.  Thanks

"Elliot already held offers from smaller Division 1 schools entering his senior season, including offers from Depaul, Detroit and Toledo, but landed his first major Division 1 offer from Marquette on Monday."

He has scary knees.  Some of the PT's on the board know what I'm talking about.  other than that looks good.

Mrs. SaveOD (a PT) agrees.  She says his knee buckling puts him at risk for ACL tears.  According to her "he has no hips"

I'm wondering how far apart those 2 games are.  It almost looks like 2 different years.  In the first game the legs are so messed up on his jumper, but in the 2nd it looks a lot better (though not completely "normal").  He also looks slightly bigger physically?  But still very thin.
