I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Didn't Crean get Wade's girlfriend into MU? Or did she just move to Milwaukee?

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Tillman could end up at Michigan State. It won't be because of the girlfriend. It might be one factor of many.

I'm fairly certain you are correct.

Am I imagining this having happened or wasn't Becky graduating 0.00% of their African American basketball players for a 6 year period within the last year or 2?
I remember that too and I think that information came from 'The Institute for Diversity in Sports' @ http://www.tidesport.org/d1-men-s-basketball.html

I fully admit that i did not read the methodology but looking at the last 5 years they have African American MBB Grad rates of 50-29-14-0-0 oldest to most recent.  If this turns into a troll b*tching match i'll read the methodology, but yeah, we both had GSR's of 67 this year so that proves everything is equal.

That's a flawed statistic. A zero in the denominator doesn't = 0%, it's actually undefined.

For the Badger fan, there are reasons that our former coach Buzz is not with MU any longer and had a difficult relationship with the administration.  Right or wrong, we have discussed in other threads when he left one of these issues, the graduation rate and running the team separate from the university's mission.  We know that our graduation rate will be going down under the Buzz years.  And it is one of the reasons the administration took issue with him.  But, action was taken and he may not have liked it.  it was unacceptable at MU, and you'll have to compare the long history of taking academics seriously at MU and not pick our worst years.

Right or wrong, it was not accepted by the board at MU, and had to be righted... and thus Wojo who understands the importance of the education mission and integration of the basketball team within the academic and school setting. The graduation rate will be rising back to its normal high level under Wojo.  Again, I don't want to start the debate of if this is right or wrong, but it is just the way it has been and will be at MU.  The basketball team and coach have to take the academic side seriously, and us fans just have to accept that, even if it results in less wins.  I don't think it will or has to result in less wins, but academics will always be right there along with wining games.

My cheering preferences continue to Marquette, except when playing Wisconsin.

We do the same by rooting for Buckybwhen they are not playing Marquette.  But, it is not as entertaining watching them play slow ball in the Big 14 compared to the more athletic Big East.

Jordan Nwora has been retweeting posts that say he will make decision in spring. That may be good for MU, if we  have a strong season and build momentum. We will have a better understanding of our roster situation then as well.

I don't think this is trending in the right direction.  (I thought the same think about Theo John though.)

In the past day, Tanya has retweeted Wojo twice, Purdue basketball once, and MSU basketball once. Clearly it's a lock, Xavier is going to Marquette.

Or possibly on Oprah, as she did also retweet an Oprah Winfrey quote.

Oprah to MU? Is Wojo over signing? I would rather have X than O, his game is more complete at this point and has more upside.

I'm not sure...think about the fundraising opportunities. And it'd be pretty cool to go to a Marquette game only to discover EVERYONE IN THE BRADLEY CENTER GETS A BRAND NEW CAR!!!!!!

I'll take a free car. Oprah could play the 4 maybe?

Go get her Wojo!

Oprah is obviously adopting Xavier and paying for his tuition and we are getting both.
