The only thing wrong with it is that it is a year late. They will come in and have to contribute right away, when just like Heldt they will probably need a year to get ready to contribute. I think Heldt was a 4 star. That is why missing on the 3 star power forward that picked Providence hurt.

This is why they will need French or Tillman, they need 1 big that might be ready to play next year.  Ike should be red-shirted unless he really comes on this year.  If
they have Heldt, Theo and 1 above would be solid.  Then 1 of the small forwards as you are losing 2 next year.

Still need Tillman, Cain, or Nwora. Could sub Stockard or French for Nwora..One fact is Nwora, according to reports is from New York, could help our recruiting. Cain and Tillman would definitly
make inroads in Michigan. French also from East. In MU's hayday, Al liked N.Y. kids  Did we
ever try for Nojel Eastern from Illinois. Another former MU recruiting hotbed.

The staff likely knows if we're going to have an extra opening next year. If Duane wants to grad transfer or go overseas to play, that's an additional opening. If so, we could push for Tillman/French, Cain and Nwora.

Would we oversign? I don't know. Will we get them all? Doubtful. But it's a possibility.

Noel thought to be going to Michigan St., MU talked to him.  Would love French and Nwora!  Tillman looks like the main priority but I got to believe Tillman will be tough
to get away from IZZO.

No, more like could sub Stockard or French if we miss on Tillman.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I am glad we are the last of his officials. I believe we can make a strong case for Xavier at Marquette both academically and athletically. If he comes here he will be surrounded by a lot of high IQ players which will allow his offensive game to flourish.

Cain in town for Al's Run. Have to imagine that's a special experience for the basketball team. Great day for it.

Whoa. What???  Very nice!!!

Now if we wrap up French or Tillman that would put a bow on a very nice class.

How can this be Wojo can't recruit!
Goal is National Championship

Herman Cain

This is an awesome development. Jamal is the type of active hard working slashing wing that will do well in the Big East. His stock has been rising and he is perfectly positioned with us.

We now have two key recruits from the Detroit area. This will really help in the future.

Kudos to Wojo and the Coaching Staff for a job well done.

Waiting for Big Daddy to change his name to Big Daddy Tillman.  Dude is two for two!

wadesworld

How does Cain's game compare to Bailey's? They're roughly the same size/build, right? Cain more of a slasher while Bailey more of a shooter?

Stretchdeltsig

Wow!  Great news!!!  Now who will take our last scholarship?

Earl Tatum

I was doubting Wojo. Got 2 of the 5.  Cain, and John. Got to make a correction Need Tillman, French or Nwora. What would be GREAT is 2018 Joey Hauser. Like I said, figure out schollie situation later.

Cain is more physcially developed. A Wiry Strong slasher. Bailey is a classic bean pole outside shooter type with good court vision. Together they would be tough to defend.

Okay, how 'bout some speculation now boys.  We have French (visit complete) and Tillman (visit next weekend) for one slot at the moment.  Many here would argue that Tillman is the #1 target while either or both would be outstanding additions to our program.

What might Wojo do if French asked to commit this week?  Might Wojo oversign? Does anyone think that French has been asked to wait?

What does this mean for Nwora?

Where does this leave Stockard?

brewcity77

I don't think we'll see any more commits until September 30 when Tillman announces. French just started his visits, so that shouldn't affect his timetable. I have a feeling we're out of the Nwora race. Right now, I would put the pecking order at:

1) Tillman
2) French
3) Stockard
4) Nwora if we miss the other three

Ah, perhaps some news I might have forgotten or not seen.  Has Tillman indicated that 9/30 is decision day?
