Right.  That's really the whole issue isn't it?  It's all about perception.

In reality what we are seeing is why players transfer when new coaches come on board.

Often it doesn't even require a new coach coming on board, just a change in what a coach thinks a player can provide after seeing him up close against Division I talent in practice.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I'm feeling pretty confident about Tillman. Just got to make sure Izzo doesn't make him a priority. I think Tillman might actually be a better recruit than John. Want them both for sure, but I want Tillman more.

I agree.  I see Theo John has a better defender, but Tillman has a much more rounded player.

Looks like we are one of his final four schools...
I like that several observers have noted his high motor. Perfect for the Big East. A year of strength and conditioning and he should be ready to go.

For Jay Bee - 3 straight Crystal Ball picks for Cain to MU. Was 100% Michigan before that

Gazing into the orbuculum, things are becoming clearer. I see a color in your future, dark in hue, brighter now. It's blue. Most definitely blue. And now another color, lighter, much brighter. Bright like the sun. Yellow, yes. Blue and yellow. Blue and...maize. Absolutely.

No, wait. I've been having some issues with color contrast — the Krystall 3VSL doesn't always accurately represent the high end of the light spectrum. And, of course, I am attempting to divine the future through contact with the spirit world; spirits aren't exactly known for their amazing communication skills.

It could be blue and more of a lemon. No, goldenrod? That's closer...ah, shoot, now I've only got 1 bar. The coverage here is terrible sometimes. A little better now, becoming clearer, it's blue and...blue and...gold. That's it! Blue and gold! Absolutely. No question.

My advertisers and I thank you. Come back to my site again soon. Tomorrow, actually, would be good — I might have a different prediction then.

Has anybody seen him play?  He seems to be relatively highly sought after compared to his rankings.  Would he be a big get?  Could he contribute right away or more of a project?  Thanks in advance.

Okay, did the 8/15 update.  Anybody want to add/subtract anyone on the P1 chart?

I moved Jamal up the list.  Nothing other than gut but I sense he may now be less interested in Michigan because of recent commits there. And we need to keep the 'J streak' alive!  Any news on Nwora or anyone else?

I've seen nothing other than his highlight videos this summer, but he looks really good. It's a bit more reliable than a mixtape because while you're only seeing the good things, at least you get to watch it game by game.

Not really news, but I had an interesting conversation this weekend with a Dad and Mom "in the know".

Marquette is very much in the picture for Herro. They said it is between us and UW. That AZ dream school comment was not accurate. They said Tyler was stoked last month when he worked out with the Marquette team and that Jimmy Butler joined the scrimmage. Also said Rowsey and Katin are very very good.

They said Joey is a 99% MU lean at this point but it is still early.

They also said that DW is actively recruiting Tyler to MU and has been very positive. But then he said DW may leave after this year. I questioned how could he be positive and plan on leaving but he assured me he has been positive. There is concern about Wojo's loyalty because of the Wally issue.

So, he wants to get to warm weather. Due to global warming it will be warm in Wisconsin by the time he makes it  to MU, hey?
Goal is National Championship

I have heard it referenced here before that DW may leave after this year.  Would he be a grad transfer or would he simply try Europe?  I know he's a Junior in terms of eligibility.  Is the consensus this is it for him?

This is great, until UW@Madison trumps it with the stylings of Duje Dukan

We do have a ridiculous amount of star power to flaunt. UW is light years behind in that department. Hoping Wade makes his way up a few times to assist.

Not to parse what he said too much here, but if its his "dream school" because "it's warm," I don't know how serious that question was really considered.  I'm not saying that Arizona won't be a serious contender, but that answer reminded me of my desire to go to the University of Miami (in Florida) when I was a sophomore.

I know he does like Arizona a lot for more than the warm weather, but I still see him going to WI unless a Kansas or Duke come calling. While someone here said he tight with DW, I know for a fact he is tight with Koenig and loves the college atmosphere of Madison. I also wouldn't sleep on Iowa State.

McCabe is announcing his school tomorrow. He says he is choosing from 6 schools. No inside knowledge at all, but I think WV or Depaul. His stock went down this summer and it looks like he is taking his sure thing now rather than betting on next year's AAU season. No doubt he will have a great hs season this year; his team will probably play Herro's in the D2 championship game.

Why does it matter that he's tight with Koenig or DW? Koenig will almost certainly be overseas by the time Herro attends college and probably even by the time he's ready to commit. DW may be gone by then too.
