Or there is simply more to the Wally/Ellenson Family situation.  If Wojo created a spot for someone else and didn't fill it, that would appear to be a 'fail'.  If he simply parted ways with a player for other reasons, well then that is a managerial decision.
I have no idea, but I did wonder if this was more about the parents being a pain in the butt (as some posters have alluded to) than the fact that Wally was on the track team.

It is basically going to come down to is whether he likes Wojo or Cooly better. Same conference, both private Catholic schools and I cannot imagine there is much difference in weather.

In an interview, Young stated that his number one factor was who had the better record preparing big men for the NBA.  IMO, Kalif would have to like Cooley a whole lot better.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Umm, Jabari Parker and Mason Plumlee may disagree with you on this.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

I agree with this analysis.

What's not to like about being taken second in the NBA draft?   If Jabari has complaints about Wojo, he seems to be keeping them under his hat.  Mason Plumllee is probably happy to be in the NBA, rather than unhappy that he wasn't prepared properly at Duke.

I think that's his point.  He'd have to like who Cooley is as a person a toooooon more to overcome the huge advantage Wojo has in one aspect that Young has said he's looking at (development of bigs into NBA players).

MomofMUltiples

Never mind, I misunderstood the point.  Thought he was suggesting that Kalif would like Cooley because he was better at developing bigs for the NBA.

Tough morning.

This talk of Wojo vs Cooley is bullsh1t. This will come down to two things:

- Bratwurst vs Linguica

- Potato Pancakes vs Jonnycakes

You are soooo far off.

Chili or no chili.  That is the question.

Since he is Canadian it could come down to where can he get better poutine.

I am pretty sure the mother visited us with Kalif. That tends to work in our favor.

That is 4 things, at any rate, beer brats and kraut, and always go with potato pancakes.

I would agree with the article, since Wojo did not get a commitment, I would think Providence will be his destination.

Facts, facts, facts, facts.

Stop with all the freakin' facts already.
