Markus Howard went on two official visits after his visit to Marquette

Good. That shows solid patience and decision making ability.

Thanks for posting this. Very good to see him in full game. Active on the boards.

Young with 20 points, 9 rebounds.  Good perimeter defense with a couple of steals from guards, though I saw one guy blow past him to the rim in the first quarter.  0 for 6 at the free throw line (one missed deliberately at the end of the game).  Few buckets of Young's were assisted, he was good at following up misses by his teammates.  Among the most unselfish players for his team.  Was in great condition, color guy said that he has improved his game and conditioning since the end of his prep basketball season.  He played the majority of minutes for his team and didn't seem to get winded, great going up and down the floor.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

When will Young announce his decision?

When will Young announce his decision?

I would think shortly after he visits Providence.

I believe the signing period ends May 18 so hopefully we will know by then.

Relevant only to the extent that a timely NLI  is binding, whereas scholie papers signed after that are not.

I think he is debating nuances.  As I understand it:

An NLI is binding on behalf of the student.  The University can and sometimes does grant a release from the NLI, but the student is bound by that contract.

Scholarship papers are binding on behalf of the University.  The student can chose to go elsewhere, but the University is obligated to honor the scholarship.

Nukem, is looking from the benefit of the MU, so signing an NLI is ideal, because the student is bound by that contract, the same benefit is not obtained by scholarship papers.

moomoo

Ben likely going pro now.

Means Providence is more attractive to Kalif.

And Cooley more desperate to get him.

"Ben Bentil (Providence) - Bentil was just 6'7.25 barefoot, making him a 6'8 power forward which is below the standard 6'9 size. Fortunately he does have excellent length with a 7'1.5" wingspan and a 8'9" standing reach, meaning that he's really about standard size for a power forward."

Silenzio. Parla il moomoo.

I am not sure why this makes him more likely to go pro.

One of the question marks was his size. The report from the first day was he did well in the scrimmaging although they pointed out he had some basketball IQ issues, which would support going back to school another year.

Looks like Bentil did very well at the combine. Now the Providence board is getting dug in, they do not want to see Young go to Marquette.

edit:  I see, he used the wrong name, Khalid, not Khalif.  Still not a wise post.  The name nuance is too subtle.
