Eeyore69 doesn't really know what he's talking about. He's negative for the sake of negative without Willie's entertainment factor.

Responding to a post comparing the Big East to the WCC?

You're going to encourage muwarrior to advance his flat earth theory.

In finance he would be called a contrarian indicator.

I like our chances against this competition, but you obviously never know.

It's going to be an interesting class.  We're in on a lot of high level guards still.  We have one player committed.  But with the 5 in 5 rule kicking in, we'll need some kids to transfer or leave early to have room for many kids.

It's also difficult to know how much we are even pursuing him after the Martinez commitment.

Plenty of guys have kept colleges on cutdown lists after the school is no longer involved.

I don't have any information of that being the case here but it did surprise me that we were still listed.

Smoke that we may be adding Colin Porter from Liberty as a backup PG.
Averaged 11 PPG, 40% 3-point shooter, 90% FT shooter, 200 career made 3's and 520 career assists on a 2.7 ATO.

Makes sense, experienced, video tape looks good, but is the size of Andrew Rowsy, still needs a qualified backup, like it

He looks like Jake Barnes just with actual talent at this level.
We wanted Tylen Riley and clearly the staff isn't sold on our PG depth/may see Minessale as more of a do-it-all guard than a PG.  And Nash Walker?  HAH!  If nothing else, Shaka being aggressive this late into the summer is an A+ sign as I see it.

tower912

Wait.  A back up PG?!?!?!?!?!?!?

But, a traditional who went to Liberty will tickle the fancy of some Scoopers.

Also, lotsa #FakeNews #Lies

Career 37% 3fg% guy with fewer than 200 makes in his four years against D-I opponents. Shot sub-35% from deep last year. 5'10" lightweight.

I'm not opposed to tossing him in pawz but...

Thanks for the update.  Given how poorly run the NCAA is and how badly they get pantsed in court on a regular basis because of their incompetence and lack of vision, I suspect this kid may get another year.  Good depth piece if it happens.

Are we not full for this year?

We have one spot remaining. Brenn doesn't count against the 15 player limit as a former walk on.

I wouldn't sleep on Nash yet. He's coming off major surgery and it may take a while for him to round into game shape. He's got one of the quickest shot releases I've seen at this level. Don't know how the rest of his game will translate, but he's a Big East level shooter.
