Juan Anderson's Mixtape

It seems all the Milwaukee kids do not want either school in state

Kolek didn't choose Providence.

Stevie didn't choose Villanova, Penn State,  or Pitt.

Kam didn't choose Memphis or Tennessee.

Oso didn't choose Arizona or Arizona State.

So why lament Milwaukee area kids wanting to go elsewhere, too?

There's always going to be old guys that are extremely provincial.

It wouldn't surprise me if MU gets a guy in 2025 who goes to HS a mile from the Al.

Would be very happy with Batemon and Adrian Stevens as the guards in our 2025 class.  Their games complement each other very well and continue our trend to keep getting longer and more athletic throughout the roster.

$$$$$$$$$$?  👀

There is money everywhere.  If you want my two pennies, anyone that includes OTE in their final selection is probably headed there.

Probably but is that losing some of its luster with NIL?

I'm still not 100% on Batemon being a PG.  I view him more of a combo guard.  His handle is a bit loose, IMO, to he a primary ball handler at the BE level.

I still want either Lewis or James as the PG.  A four man class could include two of Stevens, Batemon, and Odih.  And, Miletic as the wing forward.

It's hard to tell just from watching video, but Stevens and Miletic seem like ideal fits for how MU plays. I do like Batemon's quick release on his shot.

I think for many Milwaukee city kids getting out of state is a good move.

Xzavion Mitchell from Oshkosh North just committed to Iowa State over Wisconsin.  Tough blow for Gard but Iowa State is the easy choice between the two.

Shaka and staff watched him but never offered.  Just not as long and athletic as the 3/4 types weve been recruiting lately like Zaide and Damarius Owens, and Mitchell isnt a good enough shooter to make up for it like Joplin either.

Ian Miletic being the 3/4 shooter Shaka has prioritized.

genious expert

Speaking of local recruits... is the staff still recruiting Davion Hannah at all?

I don't believe so.  And after watching Hannah play at State, I can see why.

Very much a ball stopper on offense.  Lots of long isolation dribbles, settling for way too many pull up jumpers from 3 and midrange.  Not a fit for what Shaka wants to do on offense.

Agreed with the above.  Plus, we know how much Shaka values energy and effort and Hannah is very hot and cold in that department.

Stevens and Odih are the wing priorities in 2025.

I'm not a typical source but have it on good authority that if Militec had to choose today, it would be Marquette.  He loves Shaka.

Good to hear. Any chance your source has any info on Miletic too?

I don't think Miletic would be able to find Pewaukee either.
