I was there too. And Zaide, Tre, and Caedin (I didn’t spot anyone from our staff).

I can see why Shaka isn’t spending a lot of time on Hannah. Kid has all the physical tools you could want, but I just don’t see him as a culture fit. Besides, Tim Franks was far and away the best player on the floor tonight.

So he is a culture fit for Izzo or Gard? Why were MU players there?  The first Homestead game this year he had 34 and played better than Jaylon Johnson ever did.  Tim Franks is a nice player, who can shoot the lights out when on.

I thought that too…a fit there…but not here 🤔? And, current team members at a HS recruits game?…unless there’s a relationship /connection with the player, I suppose.

Entirely possible. I don't think the Marquette culture is for everyone, and it's pretty clear from comments and interviews that Shaka feels that way as well.

Izzo and Gard can determine their own culture fits for themselves. Hannah carries himself like a 5 star prospect, which is fine because he is one. I just think Shaka has been there, done that with those types of recruits and it’s not what he’s looking for at MU.

I suspect the MU players were there because they’re basketball junkies and wanted to support Trevor Polite, who Shaka has invited to practices a couple times but who likely isn’t an MU level talent.

I think you're making some assumptions about a kid i assume you've never met.  Bring a 5 star doesn't necessarily mean hes not a cultural fit for Shaka. That being said,  i don't believe we are actively recruiting him anymore

You can get a pretty good feel for a basketball player by watching them play basketball.

“I’m an energetic player that can shoot the ball,’ Hannah told On3. ‘I like the midrange…”

So, obviously not a fit.

Hannah is a nice player.  I think the staff just prefers Adrian Stevens at that position and they are in a very strong position to win that recruitment.  Kelvin Odih too.  And Im not going to doubt Shaka and the staffs preference, thats for sure.

Shaka's got my trust, too.  Feels like he's really zeroed in on his guys.

One of Lewis/James to replace Kolek (open spot when Kolek turns pro)
Stevens and Odih to replace Kam and Stevie
Miletic to replace Jop

Watched some interviews of him and seems like an awesome fit for this program on and off the floor. Really hope we land him. I’m sure he’ll have a great experience today.

Ive long thought that Mr. Stevens would be our first commit for this class. Let's see if today seals the deal
