Love it. Interesting take having two current players on that roster. That gives me even a little more optimism for the rest of the season.

I obviously did not see Kojis play and saw Chones play as young kid and not a great judge on who was better. That said, my BIL that did play at MU between the two has told me that Kojis was literally outstanding and a big time player. In regards to Chones, he ranks him as the second best player in his lifetime at MU. His credibility is high in my book because George Thompson played on a team that my BIL was captain of.

Now, that is one opinion and not gospel. He has been my basketball rabbi for 50+ years and I value his judgment, a lot more than I value my judgment on players. Will add, we talked at length during the SH game about Tony Miller being the most overrated PG in MU history!
Ah yes. Brute Force. An MU all timer. Tony was not overrated.

100% Also, hope you're doing well, Mark.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

If any Scoopers are interested, Rolling Meadows HS and MU '25-26 offer Ian Miletic are hosting Glenbrook North Tuesday (tomorrow) 2/6/24 at 7pm.

My roommate trains GBN's Sam Lappin, who is coming off hand surgery and is now forced to be a primary ball handler after their star point guard went down with a shoulder injury in their last game.

I just watched some videos of Miletic, and he's an excellent shooter with very long arms. Really crafty passer and has some handles too. Not a bad rebounder, but doesn't really seek out contact, other than fundamentally blocking out well. I'm no scout, but it looks like the instinct and motor are there, just has to prove he can handle frenetic pace on defense. Off the videos I saw, which were extended game highlights and not a slick production reel, Ian looks like he would be a nice recruit for MU.

He was at Fiserv for our game against Villanova. Reportedly loved the closeness of the team and the family atmosphere.

Marquette coaches at his game last night.  Putting up massive numbers as a senior.  Good size and really smooth athleticism and jumpshot based on his recent highlights.

It sure seems like we're going to add another 2024 recruit based on how many we have watched recently.  Im sure Seans injury has something to do with that.

Matt Painter here at RMHS to watch Ian Miletic.
