Touchy.

Please show my political posts on the basketball board.

Meanwhile, how bout we stick to Recruiting rather than politics in this thread.

Your political post are against the rules - those rules are the same whether in the Superbar or on Hangin' at the Al. You know that, so why are you making a distinction when there is none?

Hoping this wonderful discussion trickles down into some actual recruiting talk.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Parham and Owens are looking good.   Maybe a point guard with the last scholarship.   (Assuming Oso and TKo leave)

Sorry guys, I will take the blame on this one.

NLW is really getting on my nerves lately. Upon reading him crying for the umpteenth time about MU basketball, this time about mid-majors offering our latest recruit...my brain, in vintage Ronald Reagan voice, went right to "there you go again."

I'm big on trying to be a value-add guy, and I don't always succeed. I feel that 9o+% of Scoopers offer nice value in posts, regardless of their politics. Nolongerwarriors is probably a relatively intelligent guy. He's just stuck in the minus pool of life, as Al would call it.  I really hope he gets help. I mean that. Life's too short.

I should've bit my tongue here and on other NLW posts. Nothing good ever comes from responding to the troll 🦡 🧌.

I am super bullish on Owens, and very bullish on Parham as well. I had read where some of Parham's original HS fans were a bit ticked off at his choice to transfer to play alongside Owens, but wow does it ever look like it's paying off. These guys will be ready to make big contributions from the get-go.

I liked comment on their video (thanks MUMark on 1/13) that they "played great defense" (in addition to their high scoring). How often do you see that comment referring to HS stars?

It will be interesting to see how Shaka uses his last scholarship. I don't know if he plays bball, but Barron Trump is 6'7".

Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

No worries, GFAW, and thanks for bringing it back to recruiting.

Nyk Lewis update. Nothing earth shattering

Agreed, but you can always glean minor things.

Here's what Nyk said about Marquette:
"Marquette: "I went for a basketball game when they played Rider. I had a lot of good meetings with the coaches and they really liked me for me. On the visit I got to kick it with some of the players, see how they live, and communicate with each other.""

And here's what Nyk said about what he's looking for in a program:
"Lewis also knows what he's looking for in a program.
"I'm looking for coaches who love me for me, a good environment, and not too many point guards in front of me.""

I definitely think we're the leader here, and hopefully Shaka continues to make Nyk a priority.

Cooley probably ticks those same boxes. He'll be a tough kid to get out of DC. Probably not taking an official there since it's in his backyard.

No question, but my point was what he said he looks for in a program, he mentioned verbatim in his breakdown of Marquette.
Again, nothing crazy, but always something I keep an eye on.  I wonder if Sean's injury makes Nyk more of a priority for Shaka.

Scoopers often talk about the publicity Marquette gets with a high ranking in the polls. You're just not seeing the big picture here Pakuni. Imagine the whole family showing up for his games. We would be front and center on national news.

And the refs? They will stop calling BS fouls on us after being threatened with chaos.

Could be that certain member of the family will not be able to show up
