After a lot of careful consideration and conversation with my family I have decided to request a release from my letter of intent with the University of Texas Men's Basketball team.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Okay, I think p.1 is accurate as of this moment but I don't know how many scholarships are available for next year as things stand so someone please let me know.  Let's assume anyone currently in the Transfer Portal leaves and that Theo doesn't return for purposes of that quantitative exercise.

Should be a fun few weeks with comings and goings.  Remember, we track incoming Frosh here although general discussion about anyone coming into the program is always good.  Somebody should resurrect the Transfer thread that I think Brew started.  Happy Sunday everyone.  And note the little coaching correction!

(I wonder on what pages here we were all gushing about Joey's commitment back in the day?  Proves we're all fools!  :-[)
I believe any seniors who decide to return do not count against scholarship limits.
Which brings up an interesting question. Cain can stay at MU and not count against our scholarship limit. I am not sure what happens to another school that accepts his transfer. If transfers count against the teams limits, then it might make it harder for seniors to transfer.

I believe the transfers count against the scholarship limit of the new school.

I think I read that the MU Administration wouldn't be offering the extra season.
It was on scoop, so it has to be true.

Yes - Cain, Koby, and Theo could all theoretically stay at MU and not count against scholarship limit.  If they (or anyone else that is graduating senior getting the Covid bonus eligibility) transfer to a different school, they DO count against the 13 scholarship limit.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

May certainly be true but if Shaka wants I'm sure it can reconsidered. (Assuming that was decided pre-Shaka.)

Kam Jones basically reaffirmed his commitment via twitter.  Worth noting.

Really? That's sort of surprising given his Wojo defense on Twitter.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

The Sultan

He can like Wojo AND want to play for Shaka.

Weird I know...

Rocket Watts hasn't been very good his two years at Michigan State.

However, there are rumblings Gabe Brown might hit the portal and he would be a great get

5J—-has your opinion changed with the new coach or do you still believe that there is a chance that some of the super seniors will return?

Rocket Watts has proven he is a "horrible shooter" at this point.....Mich. St just got a top PG out of the portal.....So recruited over him.....

Secondly.....We should know something soon about Garcia.....My guess.....Dodds was saying in a thread that Shaka was on the plane to Minny......Don't know if he was serious.....But I believe he was.....

On a plane to Minny... for spring break

Jonas Aidoo has de-committed.  Would guess that ship has sailed.  Best of luck to him and onto the next

Chart updated.  Perhaps this paves the way for Theo to contribute another year.  Not going to worry about any of these developments at this juncture.

Theo is not wasting any more time (or injuries) in college. He won't be at Marquette, nor on the portal.

No crap. I don't understand why this is so difficult to understand for some. I guess it's the devil you know scenario.

Are there any updates on Mitchell yet or has it been radio silence?

one thing I've learned about Scoop is whenever someone here speaks with such certainty it is a sure sign they have no idea what they're talking about and are as likely to be wrong as right.

Fine.  We're moving on. It was a simple speculation.
