With Aidoo de-committing and Symir in the transfer portal, I count 4 open spots.

I'd go for a mix of transfers and HS.  Maybe 1 SR and 1 JR in the transfer market.

Yes. Shaka is building his team and staff...in the year with more access and availability than ever before. The time is now, he doesn't need much from the old regime to succeed.

Agreed. Doesn't fit the shooter profile we need, but amazing potential once he fills out given his athleticism. Ellis definitely should get a call from Shaka to test the waters.

Tamar reminds me of JJJ but with a sound jumper. I think that's why I am so intrigued by him.

I like what little bit I saw on video. Great length and athleticism at 6-5.

I think he was more celebrating the news that DJ was returning than questioning whether it was true.

Love it. I really do hope that we see a large chunk stick around--rather, those that buy into Shaka's system stick around. Dawson and Justin are big keys in that for me. I think Dex, Oso and Greg could do pretty well in Shaka's system too. No idea if Jose would or whether he is even with the team still given the BEast tourney thing.

After that, it's figuring out what players fill the gaps from there. If I had a wish list, the next 6-7 schollies are filled by:

Kam (Still a bit of a project, but lots of athleticism)
Stevie (if he doesn't stay committed, we need another PG in this list).
Tamar Bates (Former UT Commit; good jumper and amazing talent)
Tre Mitchell (mobile center with a jumper)
David Joplin (local PF, nice midrange game)
Noah Locke (sharpshooter)
Emarion Ellis (athletic freak, needs to make jumper more consistent)

I am going to predict that roster is going to have some surprises next season. With the depth of free agents out there, I believe that Shaka may bring in some sleepers. As we sit today, I have zero idea of how many new guys we will have on the court next season. That said, I am confident that it will be an upgrade.

I would have thought that if they hired Moser and been fine with it if it ended in good results.  Shaka will be able to rebuild on the fly.  It's possible a mid-major guy could have, too, but this is the best scenario
