#1 recruiting class in 2021. I'm sure that will last.

I mean I know these recruiting sites, factor in # of recruits into their rankings, but man, that is really dumb IMO. Rank classes by quality ONLY, who cares how many you get?? Why should that matter one Iota?? I mean, okay say a school lands 5 top 100's ranked 96, 97, 98, 99 & 100 but another school has 3 commits ranked 19, 20, & 21, there is ZERO criteria that should ever rank the school with 5 commits over the one with 3, when those three are higher ranked than any of the 5 the other school has.

It just seems really dumb to even have that as a criteria in any way shape or form.

Badgers 2020 class rated 6th nationally and first in Big Ten.  Not sure how they calculate this.

Quantity over quality. 16 total "stars" - 4 3* plus 1 4* for 5 recruits. I'll take the team that recruit 3 5* over UW's class any day.

Wiping sleep out of my eyes I saw the "Davis on his Marquette commitment" and got really excited before seeing visit and no mixed in.

(If you haven't clicked the tweet he did not commit yet)

After reading about this kid, I wonder if he's the second coming of Joe Krabbenhoft.  Krabbenhoft was a top 20 recruit out of South Dakota who was never anything more than a junkyard dog at UW.  If I was a Badger fan, I'd certainly be skeptical.

Oddly enough, Krabbenhoft is listed as his primary recruiter on 247

This kid can shoot......Think the Badgers are very happy to have him. Did not play on a shoe circuit which probably has him a little under the radar.

Hoggard announcing on Sunday

No fresh crystal ball picks yet. Will be curious to see if word leaks out between now and Sunday. Definitely get a warmer feeling from Davis than Hoggard, but would take both in a heartbeat. Lock them both down early and you can pour everything you've got into Garcia and Suggs. Even if you miss on both, you can either take a project like Desmond Polk or bank the scholarship for a transfer and still have a very strong class.

Always be closing.

I think this says less about the visit this past weekend and more about what I wrote in the first sentence here. Love that we are hot on the trail of both. That said, I hope to hear some good news about the RJ Davis visit soon.
