Mane says he is going to sign in the late period because he needs the time to understand all his choices . So this is actually good news because we are able to establish our position and he can monitor the team during the course of the year and see if it fits .

I think this says less about the visit this past weekend and more about what I wrote in the first sentence here. Love that we are hot on the trail of both. That said, I hope to hear some good news about the RJ Davis visit soon.

MU has a lot of openings for next year so more the merrier.  If he loses both Dawson and Davis, he needs somebody else for sure.

This is about where I am at with predictions. He seemed like he was taking the visits to see the sights. Hope I am wrong and that he had genuine Marquette interest. But it's a hard uphill climb to get a player that is so entrenched with one place before even visiting.

Hopefully we get some positive RJ news today. Caleb Love will be deciding (to hopefully commit to UNC). It will be interesting to see what that does to RJ's visit schedule (if anything).

Was interesting how much he said they use applied analytics in his interview.  He sounded like Billy Beane for a minute as he talked about how they evaluate players statistics over the course of a season in evaluating recruits.  Also credits going to a younger lineup late in his third season for making the tournament.

I mean, Wojo was talking to Karim Mane. UNC is talking to Caleb Love. I don't think that it means that Marquette and (possibly) UNC aren't still recruiting RJ.

That said, this signals to me that it is not a "done deal" for Pitt whenit comes to RJ.

Actually, we started recruiting him later and it was a bit of a surprise we got a visit.  Marquette certainly hasn't cooled on him at all.

Despite Love commitment, RJ is still planning on taking his visit to UNC. Additionally, he still plans to sign in the early period in November.

I don't think that Marquette is involved at all, but Davonte Davis, 6'4" pg decomitted from OK state yesterday. If the staff feels they are losing on recruits that could be an option.
