Let's do this: does his pick today mean anything? Is it based on inside info or unique insight.

Answer: you don't know. Worthless.

I can guarantee you Mark Miller knows what it's based on. Maybe an educated guess, maybe a hunch, or maybe some insight. He could end up being wrong, but he hasn't been thus far on 2020's and his record shows he's not one to just throw things against a wall and see if it sticks. He IS very dialed in on MU recruiting though. That being said as we all know, recruiting can change in an instant.

Saying it means zero is just as foolish as saying it portends a done deal.  It's a singular data point.  Useful, but limited.  If more data points are added suggesting the same outcome, the more useful the info becomes.  Not sure how one conjures up such an extreme take on this stuff either way.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

Dude, don't move the goalposts. You said the quality has to be taken into account, I gave you the quality, then you try to change the definition again. Don't do that. That's a Chicos move.

Mark's pick is not a guarantee. He himself has said as much. But in terms of CB quality and the value of his insight, his word has been about as good as it gets.

Caleb Love to announce Tuesday evening at 8pm

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Davis' announcement come soon after this. Unless Love shocks everyone and picks Mizzou, there's no real reason for Davis to visit there I can think of.

A Chico's move?   You have moved so many goalposts here over the years as to be an honorary grounds crew member for the Green Bay Packers.

North Carolina has previously said publicly and directly to RJ Davis that they want to sign two guards to play together. Cade Cunningham was on campus there this weekend. Caleb Love will announce Tuesday, Devin Askew, etc...so we'll see what happens. I've seen a lot of posts that assume UNC is out of the running if Love or someone else commits there. But that is not necessarily what UNC or Davis have said in the process. Will Davis rule out UNC or vice versa? Is UNC waiting to see if they can get one or two other guards first? etc...We'll see.

I have always felt like Davis was/is a back up plan for UNC. I'm GUESSING when Caleb Love commits there Tuesday, Davis will cancel his visit(if not before). Sure they told him they want to sign two guards to play together, but why should RJ do that, when they aren't real serious about him. iIf they get Love, then think they can get Cunningham, guess who they won't be taking??

No. He said it's just a hunch. It's the same thing any reasonable person would think. If you want to slurp on that, feel free, but that's stupid.

I'm not saying that because of Miller's prediction. I have been saying for a while that I believe Davis' decision will come down to Marquette and Pitt. I tweeted 2 days ago about the possibility of Davis cancelling his UNC visit and making a decision right after visiting here.

For those who value Mark Miller's predictions.......he just put in one for Davis to MU.

FWIW

I appreciate the work that you do. So do most of the people here.

We are all (well, almost all) smart enough to know, with 17 year old kids, that there are no guarantees - nothing is certain until the name is on the dotted line.

But your picks certainly give us the "lay of the land" at a certain point in time.

Yep I value your posts.  Thanks.

The only thing that matters is when they sign the national letter of intent, sure Mark Miller has his sources.  But it really does not matter.  Joe
Wolf was going to go to MU until the final day when there was a leak that he did not like.  So until that day comes it is just a hunch.  So lets say
MU is pathetic this year, Wojo gets fired then in April they all say no.  That can happen as well.  Recruiting is always a challenge, I am sure the
coaches think they have him, but the key is the signature.  I thought 2 years ago they had Tillman, girl friend got pregnant.  That ruined MU's
chances then, to many variables in recruiting.  For coaches, I can see why they get paid so much.  Worrying what a 17 year old is going to do
for there future has to drive them insane.  Justin Lewis gave them a commitment, who was the first person they saw this month, him. Never know.

Ok....'appreciate the kind words but for the 2nd time.....they aren't my picks.....I'm not Mark Miller.....he is a friend though.

I just share information and let people make of it what they will.

Opinions....

How is our 2020 class shaping up against the badgers?

They have quantity not sure how their quality measures up?

Does it come down to Garcia and Davis?

A month ago Mark Miller put in a prediction for 2021 forward Matthew Mors to UW.......today he verbaled.

If we land Garcia and Davis, our class will blow theirs away. Their current ranking is based almost solely on quantity. Yes, they are currently ranked 6th, but they have 5 commits. For comparison sake, no other team in the top-50 has 5 commits. Their 90.89 average ranking is also the third lowest of teams in the top-20.

For Wisconsin, it's a good class. It will probably end up ranked in the 25-35 range, depending on if any of the rankings change or if they add anyone else.

Running the class calculator, if Marquette added Davis and Garcia, they would be ranked 3rd behind Kentucky and Duke, and that would probably be good enough to stick right around 10th or so. Just about any 5th freshman recruit would insure a top-10 class.
