We aren't recruiting him.......until that changes please stop posting about him. We get it.....you like him....your point has been made.
I would be careful making absolute statements. Our staff has observed him many, many times including on campus.  He may indeed be on the outer bands but he is on the radar.

We aren't recruiting him......the staff watches hundreds of players each year........when we offer him please let us know.

Until then we welcome any information you might have regarding players that Marquette has offered.

As of now no official visits have been announced for Sept.14.That is the day of Al's run.I would think that is a good weekend for visitors.

Recruiting is a broadly defined euphemism to describe a dynamic process. There are many stages of the process. Observation, Evaluation, Relative ranking of needs,  Indications of interest from both parties, various stages of offers.

There are student athletes who list their final schools, and in some cases they don't have actionable offers. Offer is a highly fluid concept.

So ,by my definition of "Recruiting", Alex is part of the recruitment process at MU.  MU has expressed an interest to him, and have spent considerable time observing him , including as recently as the end of June.

There's as much chance of Alex playing for Marquette as there is of Giannis playing for Marquette. Under no interpretation of the word "recruiting" is Marquette recruiting Alex. This garbage is why even when you do provide actual useful information nobody does anything other than roll their eyes when they see you've made a post.

Recruiting is NOT a euphemism.

If you're going to use big words, look up the meaning first.

If Wojo can't close the deal on a local recruit like Giannis, he should be fired.

Dude just admit you get obsessed about some guys and post here relentlessly about them because you want to.

Was MU "recruiting" him as well?

Literally an entire page dedicated to commenting on Herman Cain's mention of a kid we've observed but haven't offered.  What's the bigger waste of space and time?

With all the useless garbage added to the recruiting thread, I hardly see his mentions of "fringe recruits" as the biggest issue here.

(yes, I understand the irony of using another post to complain about posts that complain about posts)

Little blurb on Garcia from Rivals...the question was asked(to their recruiting experts) of all the top 50 remaining recruits, who is the hardest to read..Eric Bossi answered it with this...

As for Garcia, the skilled forward from Minnesota has given absolutely zero hints into what he might be thinking. Could he stay local at Minnesota? Could early work done by a Texas or Purdue work out in their favor? Does he go the blue blood route with a Kansas or a North Carolina. Or, does he do something else. Nobody seems to have any clue, least of all the coaches chasing him.

No mention of Marquette?  Let's hope the guy who wrote the blurb is also clueless!

We would be in the Texas/Purdue boat as we've been in there for a long time. Had he decided a few months ago, I think we might've been the team to beat. The longer it goes on, the less confident I feel. Hopefully he'll give some indication before too long.

I'd agree with this, but I also think that it might be the exact opposite for Suggs.  If Gonzaga was #dondeal I feel like we would have heard something official by now.  The longer that nothing happens the less sure I am that it will be the Zags (I'd still put them as solid favorites though).

Funny how some people can be so positive about recruits Marquette don't seem to be recruiting yet so negative about a recruit(s) Marquette has coming in for an official visit.  This statement is related to a recruit mentioned on another Marquette message board.

It's hard enough for Marquette to get official visits from these top 200 recruits and harder when posters in your own fanbase put negative opinions on the message board without knowing what is going on with phone calls, etc. to gauge the recruits.

Herman, you're a good guy and a valuable contributor. But I'd kindly ask you to go to the very first post on this thread and try to adhere to the original criterion I outlined.  I think it has mostly served us pretty well except when knuckleheads (not you sir) take us off track.  Thanks.   :)

I've adjusted the available scholarship number to reflect Gardiner being granted one.  I assume only for purposes of the chart that he maintains the scholarship on a going forward basis.  Obviously none of us know Wojo's commitment to him beyond this year.
