You have to trust the 70s guys.  They are in the know.   Jon, Lenny, Goose and 4 ever would not steer us wrong.

So is Dave Hauser.

Never said anything about him, but if you know him, I'll take your word for it.

I was just passing on information about the Madsens' dad, since they were mentioned in this thread and my wife is friends with him.

Badgers get an early 2021 Big Man commit from Suburban Chicago. I am pointing this out because they are our intra-state  rival and I track the trajectory of our recruiting efforts versus theirs. If we can out recruit them it is a good proxy for  non conference success.

It was  Also interesting that the young man pointed out the success of Kaminsky and Happ from Illinois .I think the Badgers rebound last year off the losing season  has enabled Gard to make their recruiting case to accumulate some decent players again. Our recent recruiting classes have been better than theirs, so if we can add a couple of nice players alongside  the commitment of Justin this year, the talent pool should still be in our favor though.

Sorry to interrupt this thread, but AJ Hoggard has scheduled official visits to Marquette, Providence, Ole Miss, Michigan State, and Florida.

This is good news. Florida has a very large number of offers out for one open position. MSU is stacked with players ahead at the same position as does Providence. Haven't followed Ole Miss closely but in general we are situated well on this one.

In Daishen Nix news, from 2 days ago from the Kentucky sources:

Quote
Sources close to Nix tell KSR, however, that the five-star guard is still extremely interested in visiting Lexington in the coming weeks in hopes of earning a scholarship offer in person.

In fact, if the Kentucky coaching staff will have him, Nix would like to schedule an official visit to the school sooner rather than later.

“[Visiting Kentucky] is a point of emphasis, most definitely,” a source close to Nix said. “Coach Cal will be the one to decide the order of things. That’s up to Cal.”
...
Sources tell KSR that Nix is looking to make his decision in the coming weeks, with the latest likely being September, meaning this visit and offer would have to come together rather quickly.

One issue with UK getting in the mix for Nix is that they’re still recruiting Cade Cunningham, a talented wing who could end up playing point guard in college. But with his brother at Oklahoma State, Cunningham is widely expected to end up there, it’s hard to gauge how much of a shot the Wildcats think they have.

Another thing going against Nix is Calipari and his staff think they have a good shot at landing Jalen Green and Josh Christopher to pair with Brandon Boston at the 1-3 spots. Christopher is a shooting guard but would play at the point if Green and Boston take the 2/3 spots. So how confident Calipari feels about landing Green will affect his decision whether to offer Green.

Either way, Nix is a very talented player who’s worthy of a UK offer. Whether it works out to where he gets one remains to be seen.

I love that we are getting an official. Kind of love that IU is not getting one, at least yet. Not loving the UNC is on that list.

Remember...It was said by a source about RJ that loyalty was going to be VERY big to him in the end. Even mentioned Pitt and MU having been there the longest

Only about 8 hours after this was posted already.
I have a day job and was so excited I just posted it.

Anyway it is great great news.

I really want to see MU sign this kid up. A true NYC guard in the best tradition.

In that case let’s hope he goes to Kansas. As they have offered RJ

He’s been begging for a UK offer for months. He has the talent to play there so that is where my money is.

Alabama?

Kinda like seeing Kansas with Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Notre Dame for a football recruit.
