You do not understand EYBL

Agreed, I don't.

But I do understand the story with Antoine Davis, and your characterization of it is still incorrect.

Not in the slightest. Sometimes we must look further than what may appear obvious.

And, statistically, for many of us, this was a no brainer.

Good luck

D1circuit is Minneapolis based and might be the worst stats keeper of the world. It's horrendous.

Not that it was likely but scratch Abdur-Rahim .....MU had offered.

Thanks for posting. Sounds like a bright kid and interesting prospect.

Recruiting evaluation period starts again today .

Adam Zagoria reported yesterday that Marquette will be at Peach Jam to watch RJ Davis and Nimari Burnett.

Here are some games from yesterday that had some guys I've heard mentioned with MU before.
I'm sure there will be more that didn't play yesterday but I don't feel like going through every roster.

Nimari Burnett is with Team WhyNot. Box score link is broken on the site but they won 87-61 against All Ohio Red.

Phenom University (Sibley, Baldwin, etc) are there. They beat Herman's guy Niels Lane yesterday.

Desmond Polk and DJ Steward are playing with Meanstreets.

Dudley Blackwell is playing with Nightrydas Elite. They beat Mac Irvin Fire.

RJ Davis, Adama Sanogo, Lance Ware and Jon Kuminga play for the NY Rens. Lost to Boo Williams.

Myles Stute, Lynn Greer, Trevor Keels are with Team Takeover.

Skip Intro

I know someone posted about this awhile back in the "Actual Recruiting Thread" thread, but I came across this article today regarding the U18 3v3 Tournament that the U.S. won last month:

https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/highschool/2019/07/11/ethan-morton-purdue-fiba-3-on-3-world-cup-butler-golden-tornado/stories/201907100020

Out of a four player team, three are/were MU targets:  Dawson Garcia, Nimari Burnett, and Ethan Morton.

Would be awesome if Garcia and Burnett enjoyed playing together so much that they team up at MU.  My only hesitation is that I know for a fact that the Hauser defection directly influenced Morton's decision to cross MU off the list - they probably had a lot of time to talk about their recruiting experiences while in Mongolia, so you hope he didn't sway the others.

I believe this recruiting season will make or break Wojo, can he beat out another top 30 team for players? Playing time is somewhat available upfront, not so much in the backcourt.

Shooter McGavin

I agree this recruiting class will be the writing on the wall for a couple reasons.

1) most alumni will not be happy if he does not get a solid class.

2) wojo will also be frustrated and look for his next good season to leave before his stock plummets

The question in recruiting at the high major level is at what point do you have to start trying to close the sale with 3 stars with growth potential versus 4 stars.  Right now it appears as if we are still in the mix with the  4 -5 stars .

Herman, Wojo has to close the deal on any stars, if he can not get a 4 or 5 star recruit to MU then for him it might be over.  4 and 5 star kids have
come to MU in the past, no reason it can not come now.  I remember in the early Al years, I was looking at a college, there was nothing there to
impress me.  Now, take a kid to the Fiserv Forum, the Al, new dorms, and the improved Milwaukee scene downtown, Wojo has more to sell than
ever.  Oh ha, 4 year kids graduate.
