Daishen Nix..

Marquette was the only school Nix specifically mentioned as a probable visit destination in the near future.

Nice find. Link didn't work for me but this one did: https://www.kentucky.com/sports/college/kentucky-sports/uk-recruiting/article231599778.html

He would be a helluva get. Consensus 5-star, #16 in 247 Composite, number 1 PG in the class.

Sorry about the bad link, and thanks for the correction. He would definitely be a helluva get, but sounds like he has his eyes on Kentucky.

Speaking of Kentucky, Cam'Ron Fletcher will be visiting there soon. He received a North Carolina offer this week as well, to go along with recent offers from several other schools since changing his mind announcing a finalist list. He played really well at the NBPA camp recently.

Oh man. I would like this a lot.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

RJ Davis gives his thoughts on recruitment. I am very bullish on this young man . Saw him play for his high school team Stepinac  and he is a true New York style guard like MU used to get way back in the day . I  like kids who can perform  well, within a team concept, in gyms jammed with loud aggressive spirited fans.  The high school league he plays in has produced guys like Ty Jerome.

This kids stock rose as his athletic ability grew. The basketball skills have been there from an early stage.

MU could make the sale here.

Is he a 2020 recruit?

Jalen Suggs lists Marquette among his three frontrunners.
Outstanding news.

That gets me both really excited, and really "oh boy it's Grimes all over again" nervous.

I pay attention to what's on page 1 of this thread. And Lane isn't. Has Marquette offered him? If so, his name should go on the list and I'll be interested to learn more about him. If not, I don't think that qualifies as serious interest ("guys who we're truly recruiting").

Marcus, there's nothing magic about the list.  I'm far from perfect but given how long it currently is, I'd rather avoid someone that doesn't hold an offer.  And again boys, as guys commit elsewhere, post something so I can trim.

Saw a link within your link of the BigEast player roster for the upcoming PanAm games....no Markus. Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere. Is this a sign that Markus was indeed banged-up at the end of the year and needs to rest?
Zenyatta has a lot....a lot... of ground to make up. She gets there from here she'd be a super horse......what's this.....Zenyatta hooked to the grandstand side....Zenyatta flying on the outside....this....is...un-belieeeeeevable!...looked impossible at the top of the stretch...

Probably more about MU's trip to Spain and France in August.

Nice. Wojo is fishing in the right waters. Plenty of big fish around....let's see if he can actually land em.

Since Strawther wen to Gonzaga, I always thought they were the one to beat. Hoping we can pull it off

Zags seem like they're in a good spot, but man... imagine Suggs, then later Chet

PS my team is playing in their tourney at the end of the month (Grassroots Sizzle), but Jalen will hopefully still be with USA Bball

Put Suggs with Nix and oh boy look out for that backcourt!

Assuming Gonzaga for Suggs and UK for Nix, but good to see we're a player for both.

Torrence may be from upstate New York, but he plays with a flair and edge of a New York City guard.

I'm sure I will get bashed for saying this, but getting mentioned with recruits like Suggs and Nix, means absolutely NOTHING, unless you land them. Just the way it is. Now, that being said, hoping like hell Wojo does land at least one of them.

No, but I have said in another thread, that Wojo's recruiting to this point has been ok/good, but that I truly thought it would be better to this point. With his reputation as a recruiter, THESE are the types of kids I thought he would land, more than any other Coach in MU history.

I'm not taking the bait or getting my hopes up until we hear about a commitment. Always seem to finish in second place for these types of guys, which yes, means nothing.
