If the recruiting targets listed on page 1 of this thread marked "Visit" represent our biggest focus for the Class of 2020, it's interesting to see how they compare:

R.J. Davis  5-11 G  #89 (247), #104 (Rivals)
D.J. Steward  6-3 G  #43 (247), #35 (Rivals)
Desmond Polk  6-3 G  #231 (247)

Jalen Bridges  6-7 F  #82 (247), #92 (Rivals)
Justin Lewis  6-7 F  #79 (247), #97 (Rivals)
Jamari Sibley  6-8 F  #77 (247), #70 (Rivals)

Dawson Garcia  6-11 C  #29 (247), #38 (Rivals)

Hopefully some combination of Koby McEwen/Greg Elliott/Symir Torrence/Dexter Akanno will take care of ball handing duties once Markus graduates. But you can never have enough good guards. And there will be plenty of minutes and scoring to replace. Steward look like he'd be a home run recruit.

With Sacar and Ed moving on at the forward spot, this might be our biggest need in 2020. Hopefully Jamal and Brendan are ready to take over. But we'll still need depth here.

I'm interested to see how Jayce Johnson fits into the lineup this season alongside Theo and Ed. Dawson Garcia would be Wojo's best big man prospect since Henry.

Land any combination of three of the above, plus another traditional/graduate transfer or two, and we should have a solid class. But for MU to take the next step, I think Wojo needs to land a player or two on the level of Steward or Garcia.

Unless I'm missing something, Marquette hasn't offered Lane. To refer back to the original post, "I'd like to keep this to guys we're truly recruiting today." I don't see how it's relevant to this thread in any way.

Do Arizona offers come through Venmo?

I know you're joking, but they may as well drop a bag of cash.  It'd be less traceable.

Or use Bitcoin ;)

The guy is one of the rising stars of the EYBL.

Pay attention to the facts .

Honest question, has there been any public record linking us to Lane since last summer?

I pay attention to what's on page 1 of this thread. And Lane isn't. Has Marquette offered him? If so, his name should go on the list and I'll be interested to learn more about him. If not, I don't think that qualifies as serious interest ("guys who we're truly recruiting").

The message board?

Once the Seton Hall message board gets involved, I guess it's game over.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Yes yes yes!!!! I love this kid!!!  I've taught Tyrese a few times in the last few years at St Cats.  He's a hard worker on the court, has a pretty good handle, can shoot from deep, and is a pogo stick for a little guy.  When we played Dominican he threw down a massive, high-flying dunk that got Giannis (who was there to watch his bro on the other team) get out of his seat. He's been through some tough stuff personally and come out of it way stronger and more mature.  It probably helps our case that his coach is a former MU grad assistant (Nick Bennett), but I'll also make sure to wear more MU stuff at school whenever possible.

Not gonna lie, seeing that one of my students is being recruited by Marquette makes me super proud.
