Thanks for the explanation. Wish there were deadlines or acceptance time periods, so staff would not waste resources chasing kids. You would think since each team can only sign so few, that kids should accept offers sooner rather than later, when rosters are full.

It's a buyers market. No harm in waiting cause rosters are rarely full.

We decided that MU was cost prohibitive for my daughter to go there.  The Wade's would have to contemplate the same thing from their family's point of view.

Just read an article in the Des Moines Ragister on Garcia. They feel that Iowa is in solid with Garcia, and have a good. chance. The article mentions about 10 schools that are recuiting Dawson, but MU is not mentioned.

In addition to his unofficial Iowa visit, Garcia took three official visits as a junior to Texas, Marquette and Baylor. He said he's done with official visits this academic year. If he chooses to take more official visits as a senior, Iowa could "potentially" get one, he said.

I get that Jemarl has many buddies from his club team at Zona so it makes sense that he is going there. However , I think he is facing the same problem he had at Kentucky in that there are quite a few very talented players at his position. So Jemarl may find himself in the same dog fight for playing time. Wish him well.

You are the first person I have met who has said Dawson was pretty much a lock for us. He's a top target for us and we got an OV, but that's a long way from being a lock.

If we do get him, I think he is going to be very good for us. 247 Composite has him at #28 in the country. I think that may be slightly underselling him. He strikes me as a skinnier Henry Ellenson with a better outside shot.

I have learned that I need to use words/terms wisely on this site. By lock, I meant there appeared to be a very high level of confidence from many posters that Dawson would be part of the 2020 class. Admittedly, I do not follow recruiting nearly as closely as many on here, and that name has been frequently linked to MU by many.

The kid looks like a player and I hope we land him. He would be a major upgrade over the current big guys.
