I agree.

Agreed.  Love Anderson.  Len Elmore is the absolute worst

Commitment coming in the summer is all i can say

Does the person have JS, JJ, DG or NB initials?
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I thought only Wisconsin got silent verbals 6 months out while the recruit continues going on both official and unofficial visits to keep the coaches of older family and friends happy so they don't kick the older guy off their team.

Better buy that B1G Network Wojo!

Commitment coming this fall as well...

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

My only post regarding announcers. Apologies to the recruiting thread.....I like when Brian Anderson does MU games. He understands Marquette, Milwaukee, the region, etc...voice is fine, quantity of talk is fine, knowledge is fine. Enthusisam is fine though he is a little bit more low key. That's ok.  Objective which is important...etc...I like versatile solid play by play broadcasters such as a Sean McDonough or Mike Tirico, and he is in that category a bit.  Solid. In my opinion he has alwaya been supportive of Marquette while not being a homer.  Broadcasters matter to me, and I separate play by play vs analyst, very different jobs.  If I do not like the broadcasters, I will watch a game on mute at times.

Since it is the recruiting thread.....Recruiting.....past MU target target Caleb Love,

Can we take the announcer thread to Superbar?

Ah, yes.  Haven't heard his name mentioned with MU lately.

No. Your only option is to get the thread locked.

You know who was an underrated announcer? Dennis Miller. Just wish he infused more political commentary.

Huh. Any reason why this commitment would have to wait until summer but not now?

Does Wojo land a five star recruit in the 2020 class?

If we make a nice run in this year's tourney and/or Markus goes pro early, I think it's better then even money he does.

If not, still think there's a very good chance (I'd say the best chance this millennium if you don't count Vander's one 5* ranking and exclude Ellenson due to the family reunion aspect).

Lots more to sell in terms of on-court results and a fully operational Fiserv, with some PT opening up too.

Markus will be graduated by start of 2020 season, so doesn't make a difference for a 2020 recruit.  Not many 2019's left on the board.  2020 huge class for MU and a big run this year will help with the 2020 class.  Probably most important one in Wojo era with all the graduations.

Markus will graduate before any 2020 players would get to campus.

I mean Markus going pro early would be 2 early entrants under Wojo's tenure. That would increase the odds of landing a 5* IMO

I'd gladly take one, but would love a lot of high-level 4* (25-50) to fill the gaps with. I think one of the best benefits with Wojo's system is that it has demonstrated to support multiple talents. Right now Markus gets most of the accolades, but there is a ton of room for Sam, Joey, Sacar and whoever steps up that night. From the games I have watched recently, you can contrast with the current iteration of the IU team that has demonstrated some difficulty adjusting to Langford-ball.

2020 is a really important class given the talent graduating. I have a lot of faith in this coaching staff to build on our success.

I am still really curious who these summer/fall commitments are going to be though. If people feel to speculative to post, I will also gladly accept a PM about what's going on at the 31 flavors. Recruiting is one of my favorite aspects of college ball (if I could only stop the adults that tweet at recruits).

Showing up for mediocre at best opponents on a Wednesday night in the cold. Love it.

Although DePaul offered their whole AAU team. Maybe they're there for our opponent?

Possible, probably the closest DePaul will get to an official visit with the Johnson's.

Yeah it was tongue in cheek.
