Always amusing when a fan calls Kobe Johnson "the younger brother" and suggests he would create Blueblood Wisconsin - you don't even know his name, dude!  Also, didn't think Bucky did "brother packages."
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

Clearly not if he followed it up by the same thing but for Marquette

He actually didn't follow the Marquette one with the same thing. From my barely functional understanding of emojis, the raised eyebrow one in the Bucky one is more of a "WTF" thing. The eyes on their own are more of a "call attention to it" thing.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Right--that's how I read it too.

Yup, that was also my read. My wife uses an emoji like that as a "what's up with that?" kind of comment. Didn't seem like a positive, though it may have been more a comment on the poor photoshopping.

I think people are trying to read too much into this one.

On anything having to do with Marquette? Yes.

On anything having to do with Bucky? Maybe.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

I take it as him saying "that is the worst Photoshop job I've ever seen" and not a commentary on if he wants to go to UW.

BTW, I agree with his analysis (provided my analysis is correct).

But that is a lot less fun...

IIRC, he visited for the Badger game.  Coincidentally,  one of the Badgers priority recruits for 2020.

Ranked 189 in the 247 composite but 78 on 247's top 100.  Looks like an athletic stretch 4

Long & bouncy, looks like he could put a lot of muscle on his frame too. Would be a great upside addition

Recruits that are still in high school can't commit recruiting violations, can they?

An Arizona native playing in Chicago seems about as perfectly primed to be a Stan Johnson signing as I can imagine.

ChitownSpaceForRent

Ehhhh, I would rather not get involved with the Irvin family.

Between Mac, Nick, and Corry (Girls Coach at Whitney Young) that's just asking for problems.

Look what it did to Illinois when they recruited Ayo, prettt much ruined their relationship with Simeon and all Meanstreets players.

Morrow was a Mac Irvin guy.

It's the opposite.  Chicago native playing in Arizona.

Badger fans jumping in with "only if you want to go to the NIT every year" ignoring MU being almost a top 10 team this year and coming off a year where UW made no post season. And acting like Bo Ryan is still there

Why would recruiting from one of those programs preclude us from recruiting another? Genuinely curious, don't know the dynamics

The Irvin family is very petty.

There was a massive ordeal this past year with Illinois and the recruitment of Ay Dosunmu and Talen Horton-Tucker. THT used to play for Mac Irvin, but switched to Meanstreets and then Team Rose, a big no-no in the eyes of the Irvins.

So petty in fact that Illinois had to choose between recruiting Ayo and THT. As others have mentioned, there have been former Simeon players who have played for Mac Irvin in the past, but I think the dynamic has shifted a bit over the past year.

Here's a really good article outlining the situation. O'Brien does a really good job covering Chicagoland.

My buddy and I sat right next to them and their party.

They cheered a couple of times but mostly watched quietly. Also spent a decent amount of time on their phones. That I noticed, anyway. There were several occasions when I was one of only a few people in the entire section standing and cheering.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
