Wrong, we have one available.  I wonder if hed be willing to sit out the year and a half as we have koby and marcus next year.  He was losing time to two other mcdonalds all americans, no shame in that but some of his numbers, including turnovers were pretty bad by any measure.  Change of scenery may do him good as im guessing hes pressing pretty bad given his situation

We currently have zero available, and he has indicated that he wants to transfer at the semester.  If he waits until spring, when we have one opening up he'd be worth looking into, but right now, we couldn't offer him a scholarship.

Just so I understand how it works, if one of our guys were to transfer at the break, would that immediately open up a scholly for somebody who wanted to transfer in at the same time?

No. Scholarships are a one-year deal (at a minimum). That is, a guy on scholarship during the first semester is a COUNTER for that season... him leaving doesn't remove/reduce that.

As JB said, no.  Full stop.

Think Wojo and Co. reach out to Quade Green of Kentucky? He had a good role last year as a freshman, but this year the new freshman got his time.

Reach out with what, a freakin' ham sandwich?  Pay. Attention.  We don't have ANY available scholarships.  Got it?

Would that ham sandwich be a recruiting violation?

A ham sandwich would be a violation.  Unless it was from Arby's, which would be ok because those have no value.

So why do you bring him up so much? As opposed to any other player?

4everwarriors

Wojo allegedly, didn't recruit Herro, who was good enough to play for UK, because two of his current players didn't want to play nice in the sandbox with Tyler. Boo hoo, hey?

Oh please......every coach takes into account how players fit into the culture of the program.

We had 2 cornerstones of our team that may have not liked him.......we don't know this for sure.....it's no different then having a guy visit and then passing on him because he didn't get along with the other players.. ....chemistry matters.....especially when the players really know each other.

With all that being said,...,,,none of that matters.....Herro didn't de-commit from UW to go to MU. He and his dad wanted to go to a blue blood.......and that's where he ended up.
