Article on Nino Mannion. Says he doesn't plan to commit until January or February. Also says that he plans to cut his list to 5 soon.

His parents red-shirted him in 8th grade.  Why would you make anyone repeat 8th grade?  Junior High (now Middle school) sucked all around.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

IIRC, Travis Diener did this exact same thing (his cousin Drake, too).  Basically a way to get one more year of development (and growth) while still maintaining 4 years of HS eligibility.

Thanks. Do you have a site where these rosters are kept updated? I always feel like its a crapshoot on whether information is accurate or not. The one roster I could find listed Burnett on Dream Vision.

Speaking of Burnett, interview with him from today: https://www.prepcircuit.com/news_article/show/937925

Mentions that Marquette offered, but not included in the list of schools that are most active or that he would like to visit.

He has already visited MU earlier this summer

If you scroll down on TAMU's link, there is also an interview with Mannion.  Noted Marquette as "one of his top ten" schools he talks to every day.  However, looks like he's already pretty much picked three of his top five - Duke, Arizona and Villanova.

False.  (from someone who may have peaked in 8th grade)

I LOVED 8th grade!! Fun to be the BMOC. And I think I too peaked athletically that year.

Having said that ... I wouldn't have loved it again the following year.

Oregon has had a big summer on the recruiting trail?  Hmmm
Or did they sign their talented class the summer after their FF season.

Sorry WW that is a swing and a miss.  We are contending with big time schools with stacked rosters too.  Harder to recruit when schools coming off an NIT than an NCAA like most of the competition. Top 100 kids not really interested in NITs

So why the hell are you?  Find another school to follow, instead of whining here all the time.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Back to the low road for Memphis.  Got it.

I'm not sure how low road this stuff really is.  Seems pretty common these days.  This is just taken to another extreme.

I mean, didn't Wojo interview some AAU coach to be on his staff when he first got here?  Was it Dinos Trigonis?

What are you on about? Nationally, only about 1.5 percent of students are held back in any year, for any reason.
It is not incredibly common, nor does it happen all the time.

I don't think Trigonis ever got an interview, but his name was bandied about as a possible assistant.

What I have noticed is kids are being held back from starting kindergarten.  While Sept 1 is the official cut off in Wisconsin, many parents are holding any kid with June, July or August bdays.  To the point where our son who has an April bday is one of the very youngest in his class.  I'm 42, April was a very middle of the year bday when I was in school.

Article on Dahmir Bishop. Say he's cutting his list soon, also gives Marquette a shout out.

"When it comes to Marquette, Bishop said, "Coach (Dwayne) Killings has been talking to me a lot. They are a guard school, and I think that I would have the opportunity to show my game if I went there."

We got in late D Bishop, if Killings can make this happen, that would be a nice opening move for him.

There are actually many people on this site, who have PM  me and who are interested in the progress and recruiting possibilities that the Antetokounmpo brothers present.
