Getting a full ride to play hoops at MU, MSU, or Wisc...none of those would be a bad decision.
What is hard is being recruited by both MU and UW. You know if you pick one of them it is going to make a lot of people mad. It might actually make less people mad if he went out of state, because it removes the hatred between rival fans.

I have thought about this very thing in regards to Joey, and have wondered if maybe he wouldn't just pick MSU because it's the "easiest" choice??

No one will get mad outside of the rubes on both boards. My goodness. Even if he gets booed it will be in good fun.

Not from badger fans it won't be "in good fun". They were vicious to Wesley, Vander..it won't stop. They are arrogant pricks, and that's just what they do.

Vander decommitted from them so that you can understand.......at least a little.... Wes is from Madison and his dad played there.....but the 1 that really stood out was the way they treated Henry......I assume they treated Stone the same way when he played at the KC?

I mean, we haven't a big recruit to them in quite some time. I don't have a lot of confidence that our fans wouldn't do the same

You're thinking about this too much... really.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

i realize the student fans are, well, fans.  but do they represent or present the sentiment of the school as a whole or are they just more vocal about it?  and yes, i was once one of them, sitting in the stands throwing rolls of toilet paper onto the floor, signifying the first basket just in case anyone else missed it ;D

Viscous how? I went to a few MU/badger games at Kohl Center and didn't come away with that feeling at all. Thought the fans were fun before, during and after. I can't imagine pouty fans will hold any weight in his decision. If it does thats pretty sad.

All I'm saying is that I wouldn't sign my life away that our fans won't be "arrogant pricks". ;D

What I can promise is that we won't have people close to the university bashing his intelligence like they did with Diamond. We'd just note that his adolescent male brain had under-developed decision-making faculties

I was at Camp Randall for a Wisconsin football game when they were playing Northwestern and it snowed the night before.

The students were pummeling their own cheerleaders with snowballs until they had to move them. I had a snowball thrown at me later in the game as well when Northwestern was winning.

If you think throwing snowballs st your own cheerleaders or opposing fans is acceptable, well, then that's really all that needs to be said about Rodent fans.

Students do silly things at games. It is hardly unique to Wisconsin.

They booed Vander pretty good.  Diamond too.  I doubt either are scarred from the experience.

Right - if there are 100 real reasons to think UW fans are obnoxious this doesn't make my list.

I despise the badgers, but this is the most outrageous thing to be upset about. God forbid college students throw SNOWBALLS.

It's kind of a dbag move to do it to the cheer leaders. I don't see an issue with throwing them at the opposing fan as long as they don't spill a beer

You live in England, home of hooligan soccer fans.  You might be able to educate yourself on what is truly bad behavior among fans.
