This would be an absolute dream transfer, but unfortunately is most likely just that - a dream.

Solid seems to be an accurate description. Low usage. Pretty high efficiency. No idea about his skills as a defender. If he's a good defender I'd take a look

My guess is anyone who played 3-4 years in Tony Bennett's system is a good defender.

He is a good defender, Wojo should contact him. he could be a really good guard for us considering he can play defense

Just saw this:

Jeff Borzello‏Verified account
@jeffborzello

Virginia guard Darius Thompson will graduate and transfer. Third player to leave the Cavaliers in the last two days.
Guess Tony Bennett must be playing those mind games

PGsHeroes32

Virginia must have a great class coming in.

3 guys in 2 days is a lot.

Pretty sure Perentes was the only main guy graduating too

Looks like they have one three star guard signed. Honestly, at least for Thompson and Shayok, there would've been plenty of opportunity.

Definitely some smoke there.

Maybe these guys just want to play in a more interesting offense.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Washington sophomore PF Noah Dickerson transferring. Averaged 12.5/8.5.  Former top 50 recruit.

Hmm interesting.

Espn's article mentioned incoming competition for Shayok.

Must have been that recruit. But I feel like 1 3 star alone ain't gonna make ya bolt. Unless he's way better then his rating lol

Love this time of year.  Great intrigue with Coaching changes, players reevaluating their decisions, both incoming recruits and current player.  Grad Transfers (Do I stay or Do I go)

If it happens is it an isolated move, or does it become a domino effect.  Makes for a this stretch of the off season more exciting.

If Marquette can move from Wisconsin to the west coast, I'm pretty sure I can talk Chase Jeter into coming.

If I remember, you were very impress with his character when you met him at the Mac AA game in Chicago a couple of years ago.  He's carried that on in the 2 yrs he been at Duke.

This is the best move for him and he definitely ends up on the West Coast.

Correct, he's an outstanding young man. We keep in touch, I texted back and forth with him ( I also know and texted his mom) today after it was announced he was leaving. He was All Academic ACC at Duke, takes school very seriously. He kept a great attitude this year under tough circumstances, was happy my son and I got a chance to see him play at Cameron Indoor this year.

I know for a fact he's going to wind up on the west coast, I'd guess he'll wind up in Tucson (no inside info), with Gonzaga and San Diego State as also contenders.

Thanks, sounds like a great relationship, hope Wojo has some success in recruiting players like him.

Seriously, we're on the west coast of Lake Michigan. Lock it up, Jeter to Marquette.
