Which is false since the kid from Iowa transferred from UW back there (after much embarrassment).

Yes, after much hemming and hawing and Uthoff making the whole thing public.

Wojo and Stan should take a good look at the class of 2020 lots of good talented kids

My guess is they'll just skip recruiting that year. Probably take a year off. They put a lot of work in all the other years, they deserve a break.

You mean they were going to skip it until someone on a fan board suggested they look into it

Can't lose guys to transfer if you don't recruit!

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I don't know how to post pictures but a friend sent me a picture of Wojo, Stan, and Brett Nelson at Ike's quarterfinal game last night. UofD lost by 3.

Since the staff is in town I figure they're recruiting Greg Elliot as well. Plus, I saw it was Jamal Cain's birthday recently so I'm sure they shopped by to show him some love too.

Also, apparently UofD has some good underclass men that I'm sure the staff was paying close attention to.

The Detroit pipeline looks to be open for business.
Bring back FFP!!!

According to rivals they said Joey Hauser will commit before senior season

https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-hauser-hoping-to-make-decision-before-senior-season

Word around Madison during State was that Marquette is in the driver's seat on landing Joey.  The sooner that Wojo can close the deal, the better.

+1, because if we get him earlier we can focus on someone else to get

MU is definitely in the driver's seat.  But there's a lot of pavement left to pound, so a driver switch is possible.

I don't know Joey or Sam or anybody named Hauser. I don't pretend to have any insight into Marquette recruiting or to recruiting within the state of Wisconsin, nor do I talk to "insiders" who claim to have such insight.

So I just ask a series of questions to determine likelihood of Joey choosing Marquette:

Did Sam have a good experience with the team this season?

Do his parents believe he had a good experience?

Does Sam like Marquette as an educational institution?

Do his parents like what Sam is getting academically out of Marquette?

Does Joey like the idea of being Sam's teammate in college?

If the answers to all 5 questions are "yes" then I would think that would put Marquette firmly in the driver's seat for Joey.

If the answer to even one of those questions is "no," it would not be a great sign for Marquette landing Joey.

Keep it simple.

From what I have heard, the answer to the first five are clearly "yes."

I have no idea what the answer to the sixth is.  That is likely the kicker.

There are other factors though. Let's act as though they're two completely separate personalities as brothers can be.

Does Joey envision himself at a larger institution?

Does Joey prefer college towns to big cities?

Does Joey want to live in farther parts of the country than Wisconsin?

Does Duke offer?

If these are answered yes as well as your questions then that could be some of the hold up.

No inside knowledge but my guess is that IF this is true:
http://www.scout.com/college/depaul/forums/2585-discussion/15472613-congrats-to-dl-we-got-someone/ms/193822059

If DePaul hires the coach of LaLumiere and lands Bowen then MSU will take Elliot.  Hope not as per early info on this board gave me the impression Elliot had a super high ceiling - off the charts leadership/intangibles plus super athletic, good bb skills.  But it would make sense he is waiting until April if he wants to go to MSU but his offer isn't solid.

We'll see I guess.  I bet Big Daddy knows for sure.  Am I on to something BD??

I'm interested.  2 years of a scholarship for 1 year of PT, but he'd fit in well here. With 3 bullets to use, I wouldn't hate it.

The only problem is with only one senior next year, it could clog stuff up come 2018 especially if Elliott comes here.  With Bailey on board, and a spot set aside for Hauser, we probably wouldn't want to fill out the sole remaining spot for this coming year.
