Was in the car listening to the Syracuse Georgia Tech game on the radio. The Syracuse announcer interviewed Josh Pastner on the pre game . pastner indicated he prefers to play the least amount of players possible. He said he explains it to the kids.He plays 6 now and would play 5 if he could. The Syracuse announcer mentioned Boeheim shared this philosophy.

Wojos going to deep into the roster is potentially a big recruiting advantage.

Two seasons ago at Memphis, Pastner's bench minutes used were 40%.. 31st highest in the nation. Talk is one thing. (MU is 36% and ranked 84 this season, btw).

The bench plays a lot when there is very little difference in talent between the first line and the second line, which is definately MU's situation.

Saw a picture of Joey Hauser sitting next to Jordy Nelson at the Badger game yesterday.

Looking forward to locking this one up (hopefully sooner than later)

It would be really great over the top news to sign Greg Elliot and Joey Hauser.  Go Marquette!!!

Its kind of like 2 visits for him and MU. He's going to be at senior day right?

I've cooled on Elliott. Neck is too skinny.

We are on the right track with Race Thompson. An excellent neck.

How does anyone who has seen Joey and Race compare there games, I have seen Joey and he can play the 3 or 4, what about Race?  How does he compare to
Theo or Ike for that matter?

Certainly some similarities in versatility & size bw Joey & Race. Can both post up down low, face up, hit 3, dribble, pass... both w some similarities to Henry

Will be interesting to see Race this summer... may play a lot of de facto 5 again, but with Matthew Hurt & Jarvis Thomas on court at same time...

Theo is a defensive guy first at this point.. blocks, rebounds, physicality... not a guy whose gonna diff reb, then dribble coast to coast... or shoot triples. Whereas Joey & Race are rich in offensive skills & versatility... smooth + physical

Ike can't opine much on

So if MU gets one to commit, does the other one go away, if so, who do think is better?  MU still needs a guard in 2018, unless they feel Bailey can play that position.
It is hard for me to think they would take both?  Your thought, and what about Jarvis Thomas?

At one point we were looking 2018 guard Duane Washington Jr. , Xavier Tillmans teammate. MSU interested in him. Butler and others have also shown interest recently .

Does NC State have any class of 2017 recruits that MU had shown interest in before they committed to NCSU?

Looks like they only have one guy signed for next year.

Can Michael Porter's dad coach defense?  He's on staff at Washington, and I'd be shocked if Romar is back next year.  Can we hire poppa Porter and have him bring his son along with him next year?

Romar will get one more season. The incoming class is too good to pass up, and he's got a buyout north of $3 million.
