Aren't we still on the hypothetical "Kon to MU but not starting" train? If we're not and I missed it, I apologize.

Jase Richardson not only didn't start Michigan State's first 22 games, but he never once played more than 25 minutes in any of those games. And it's not like MSU stunk.

He has started the last 11 games, averaging 30.5 mpg. Izzo says he earned that status, and because of that MSU's older players really appreciate how hard he has worked to be a top dog. It wasn't just handed to him.

It would be cool if it worked out similarly with one of our recruits - maybe even a guy like Nigel James next season.

15 schollies need to be filled. Maybe 16 because shaka doesn't use the portal
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I still think we can be competitive in what is sure to be a down year for the Summit League.

We can't compete in a conference with St. Thomas.

This team could use a guy with Sam Hauser skills. He is making a pretty good living in the pros.

I've recently been watching a lot of video of our incoming recruits. After the season, I will post my scouting reports.

But I will touch on Ian briefly. He's not as good as Sam. At least not yet. Sam was physically much stronger at the same point. Plus, Ian's defense is a major work in progress.

And while Ian is a good shooter, I don't think he's in the same realm as Sam or Steve Novak. Sam and Steve were elite shooting prospects. I'd say Ian is a notch below, more like a Lazar Hayward level shooter.

Ian is a good long-term prospect, but I don't expect him to play 25 min per as a freshman, like Sam did. Give Ian time to develop.

It will be exciting to watch him play as a 6'10" lefty.

Love this. And I agree on the 4 year player trajectory. That was what I meant...not that he'd be a 25 mpg player out of the gate.

Zog from Margo

He's not as good a shooter but Militec is definitely more athletic than the Hausers or Novak.

Yes, a little quicker than them and Ian can dunk in transition.

Ian's also a solid ball handler and passer. Much better than Joplin in that regard.
