3 guard sets will be the normal. My guess is they'll typically want 50+% of the roster to be guards. 6-7 guards, 3-4 wings, 2-3 bigs.

In terms of rankings, I think when he arrives Norman will be the highest rated high school player on the team. Certainly top-75, decent chance he's top 40-50.

But if you're running 3 guards, you need them spread over the classes. When Norman comes, Kolek will be a senior. Kam, Stevie, and Ellis juniors. And that's assuming they're all still here.

I'd like to see them get a little more front court depth, but I think they're doing pretty well balancing the classes.

Personally i love Normans game. Feels like a nova guard in alot of ways. Drives well. Patient. Physical. Draws fouls. Shoots decent, far from bad, but wouldn't say great. Can play in the post as a guard Has a weird knack to get boards in the eybl, but didnt jump over people to get them. Plays the 2 guard pretty exclusively, but feel like he could play the 1 as a combo. His defense is solid, but could easily be great in the right system.

I think I would prefer him to lowery.

That said Lowery just got listed as 6'5" at the NBAPA camp. I would not be surprise if he is often a wing at marquette, could grow even more. He is super athletic and can kinda do it all. He just more run verse high level talent too. I think La Lumiere will help him as much as anyone.

All indications are yes. The last article from Zagoria didn't have any Marquette mention at all.

It's definitely not 50/50. It's not impossible that we are still in the mix, but every indicator is that Marquette is focusing elsewhere and Estrella is focusing on different programs.
