Isaiah Abraham, a 6'6" wing from Virginia at Paul VI Catholic. Has offers from Georgetown, USC, Kansas State and Maryland.

I think this is Faisal's kid.

Old article but confirms he is Faisal's son.  Also grew 7 inches in 3 years.

Seems like Amadou is a priority for the team. Love the athleticism.

Love how once a player has been out of college for decades, they suddenly become "former (insert school) star".  Faisal Abraham is remembered because he was built like The Thing from the Fantastic Four, not cause he was a Marquette "star".

I remember JB comparing Theo to Faisal.     Not perfect, but a decent comp.

That was my initial take as well.  I think it was more of him not being coached by Wojo that Faisal is held in higher regard.  The numbers don’t really back that up that he was better than Theo.

They were pretty much the same type of player.

One of the prime reasons those beast Cincinnati teams could not bully MU was Faisal. The reason we were moderately successful against them was Hutch.

Oh and also remember that 4ever is going to think less of Theo because of his politics.

"Marquette looks to have landed one of the top wing athletes in the class of 2023 in shooting guard Zaide Lowery. A native of Springfiled, Mo. who will play his senior season at La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere. At about 6-foot-4 or so he’s got very long arms, can really move and has as much vertical explosion as anybody that we saw on Wednesday. Lowery is another who plays a bit off the radar so he hasn’t been seen much but his first camp impression was a favorable one."

Doug McDermott?    Yeah, yeah, an injured Baldwin did not pan out for his dad.   Every case is different?

Maybe he was homesick?   Maybe his dad is part of it?   We know what happens when kids listen to interfering dads.   Looking forward to seeing life's rich pageant play out.

He was a first-round pick of the NBA champs, where he'll immediately be surrounded by a winning culture, some of the best players in the league and learn from one of the best coaches of all time.
Pretty, pretty good.

Fun fact, EMU is coached by Stan Heath, maybe the first coach to parlay a fluke mid major tourney run into a P5 gig he was not read for.  He was actually a good coach recently in the G League by very mediocre in his first season in Ypsilanti.

He was an Izzo disciple, so maybe Izzo gave his blessing if Bates wasn't going to East Lansing

Why should he?  Does his culture include recruiting kids with screwed up parents? I don't think thats a Shaka priority.
