Nonetheless, we want a lot of big tough rebounding guys.

Great response. Stats and stories show your Cincinnati dream is silly and misguided. Keep on, keeping on Ringling Brothers.

We can't have a class of all Michiganders! People already think Marquette is located in Michigan!

It's funny because it's true!

I'd take small weak guys who are good at rebounding, to be honest.

I'm getting good vibes about John, Tillman, and French. No intel other than John and Tillman started following French on Twitter on the same day (twitta tracka). Nothing more than a gut feeling but I think we get 3 out of 4 from those three guys and Cain. Would be a darn good class IMO.

Maybe all 4 if DWilson is leaving for his 5th year.

Will Wilson have enough credits to graduate this year?

He should with the redshirt year. I'd be surprised if his family wasn't making sure his options are completely open.

That's what I'd be advising.

If we do not make the tournament again this year, I would be shocked to see Duane back for his 5th season.

If we make the tournament, and Duane is a big part of that (starters minutes, leading scorer, etc) I expect he stays.

If we make the tournament, but Duane gets passed on the depth chart along the way, I'd would expect him to head somewhere where he can start for his senior year.

If we don't make the tournament this year and Duane transfers that top 10 2013 class will easily be the biggest flop of a recruiting class ever. Three of four transfer one decent center comes in and fights injuries and one didn't become good till the last third of his junior year. Quite a far cry from the second coming of James, McNeal and Matthews

Easily? I don't even know if it was Buzz's worst. 2009 had DJO, but otherwise that was a stinker. Maymon, Mbao, and Erik Williams all transferred. Junior, our worst starting point in a generation, was the lone 4-year-player, and I guess Buycks helps, but he was hardly a star here.

Roseboro was worse than Dawson, Maymon was worse (for us) than Burton, Junior was worse than Jajuan, and Buycks was at best a wash with Duane. Does the good of DJO offset the terrible decisions to waste scholarships on Mbao and Williams?

The 2013 class may have disappointed, but 2009 was similarly ranked, and man it was a stinker.

No. Junior was worse than any point guard in the generation leading up to his recruitment. As far as Derrick, I'd maintain those two are a wash.

i suspect most would disagree with that.  Derrick was a 6 foot PF who could dribble.

One played offense inefficiently and was an ole defender, one played defense well but was an offensive deficit. Neither was a high major starter.

Regardless, Junior was a huge step down from the likes of Acker, James, Diener, Henry, Hutchins, or the Tonys.

Exsctly. One called the best defender in the world  and who had a horrific offensive game. He did drain fts at a 50% rate to end on a positive note.

I think the 09 class was ranked so high because of the shear number of players really it's Cadougan, Maymonn and Williams vs JJJ, Burton and Wilson. I think everyone would agree that the later three had higher expectations.

Well, one was a starter on a high-major team that went S16-S16-E8, won a Big East title and went 7-3 in the NCAA tournament. He also made one of the most important shots of our E8 season - a shot the other guy couldn't have made in his wettest dream - and had a couple of big NCAA tourney games.

I have always said Junior should be the "floor" - we should never have a PG worse than him - but you continue to crack me up by comparing him to the worst starting PG in the Big East for two years running. Maybe the worst two-year starting Big East PG ever.

Hell, just on the UConn shot alone - just that one shot - Junior was three times the player Derrick was. Stop the silliness.

Well, Derrick did make like an 80 footer...after a timeout was called.

You got it wrong.  Ners dunked on Paul White.  Derrick made the easy assist.
