This is a circular argument but that one year in college at say Duke might get an athletie a $100 million dollar endorsement after marketing himself for one year rather than a smaller rookie endorsement contract because he has not been seen by anyone except the most rabid NBA draft junkies.  That has value.

I understand the advantage of playing 24/7 to work on your game in anonymity.  I also get his point of having fun in Bulgaria.  There are good points both ways.  People are too entrenched on their side of the argument to see both sides have advantages.

I don't know. They are paying as much for future production as anything. I don't think Luka Doncic's endorsement opportunities were impacted too much by being a foreign guy. I feel Zion would have gotten big money regardless of the path he chose.

Wojo and Stan tossed out scholarship offers like candy at a parade. They spent the majority of resources and time chasing the big fish but that doesn't mean they weren't offering everyone.

Guys. Shaka has issued 10 scholarship offers to the '23 class. That's nowhere close to excessive. Honestly, that's on the low end.

You're right. Unofficial--I misread teh original tweet. He had OV's to UNC and Stanford. Unofficials to Marquette and Purdue this week.

Good to see he's doing the visit with his Meanstreets teammate AJ Casey. Will be interesting to see how Shaka sells PT to both of them given they are sort of the same position.
