I went to high school with Kon Sr back in the day, and the rumor was the brothers would try and make 500 shots before they went to bed each day.

I believe his Uncle played for UWGB and had a pro career in Europe, as well as a cup of coffee with the Bucks.

Yeah, Jeff Nordgaard. Also All time leading scorer for the Phoenix, I believe.

That would be Tony Bennett! But Nordgaard was a bucket. My parents were alums and we had season tickets growing up so I saw a lot of both. Nordgaard was one of the first big men I saw take it out of the paint and shoot long jumpers (and not get benched). Of course now we call that the most inefficient shot in basketball but when he was open for a long baseline two it seemed like it always went in.

This might be a first in my experience, Gus Yalden's mixtape has a clip of him drawing a charge!

Apparently, talking to a '22 recruit named Saxby Sutherland. Can't find much data on him. All low major offers so far except one offer from VCU.

Also talking to Khali Horton, a '23 recruit out of Erie, PA. Only offers so far are from Ohio, George Washington, and Robert Morris

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Michigan got a commitment today from 4-star point guard Dug (not Doug) McDaniel, which may be good news for MU's pursuit of Seth Trimble.

If Marquette managed to land Trimble and Knueppel, that could be huge in going after the true blue chip talents that come out of Wisconsin in the next few years.

Concerning competition

1) They haven't offered
2) If the staff is adept at spotting talent before it blows up it never hurts to get in early.

Yup. I mixed up Jeff with his sister. Kon's mom is the leading scorer for the Phoenix women's team.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Really hoping to see Shaka Kon at the Fiserv.

I think Bond is likely amongst the instate guys, that's not really going out on a limb. I also think there are alot of instate guys who could be "late" commits and end of the bench guys in 2022.

Its really nice to see them all over Milan and Knueppel early though.

Random Note, I wonder if Tayshawn Bridges is just going pro or something. Because he should have add 2 marquette offers and a UW offer by now. He is very good.

It's more about the AAU affiliation of Trimble and Knueppel than anything else.

Leon Bond on an OV to Cincy this weekend.

As a top-5 player, I'm betting he's planning to go pro right away, so they're not wasting their time.  I don't think any other schools have offered him since last year, so I'd say his intentions are clear.

Agree 100%. Its wise not to waste resources on kids who are not interested in higher education. Let them play in Bulgaria.

Lol. He won't be playing in Bulgaria.

But you get the point.

That you are irrationally angry when players go pro before graduating?
