Should we read into Marquette and UW getting unofficials only? As in, an in-state courtesy? Or just doesn't need a formal because of his proximity?

Going to guess the latter. I believe travel and lodging is paid for an official. So makes sense to save those for out of state visits.

I believe there's more a school can do as part of an official visit, so hopefully MU gets one. But I wouldn't read negatively into it at this point.

2022 6'6 SG Kam Craft (@kamcraft12) tells me that he will be taking an official visit to Xavier June 4-6.
Then a couple days later, on the 9th Craft will take an unofficial to Marquette.

Historically a lot of unofficial visits happen in the summer.

We're also recruiting a lot more in state, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota kids under Shaka now.  Easier for those kids to drive over for a quick one day visit than all the east and west coast kids Wojo and his assistants seemed to prefer.

Yep, unofficials in the summer. Officials are in the Fall/Winter when the coaching staff can do the full shebang. Practices, games big experience.

Cam Kraft lives slightly more than an hour away from Marquette-makes sense he would do an unofficial.

By the way, I've seen him play through the years.  Pure shooter and natural scorer.  He competed against Max Christie and held his own.  He is of slight build but would love to see him in at Marquette.

You can tell when we  play UW  there are more UW grads in Milw than MU grads because it is a much larger school  and the state university with a national reputation.
