Silkk the Shaka

Looks like he followed Gainey so chances are he would of been here without a coaching change.  Having said that, we needed to make a coaching change.

100%, you make that trade every time regardless of what a recruit like Aidoo does as a result. Strategic vs. tactical.

Unfortunately, that's the case.

Aidoo to Tennessee, as many here expected

I wish him well. But he didn't really want to be a Warrior, so hasta la vista, baby.

If we can't get a quality C from the portal, I'd be perfectly happy with Master Bates.

And yet you feel compelled to make a juvenile  joke out of his last name.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

According to 247 Marquette's Recruiting Last Year Ranked #1 Big East and #21 Nationally. MU this Year Before adding Tyler Kolek MU ranks #4 Big East and #17 Nationally. Will See if MU moves up even more with Tyler Kolek Added.

Thank You. That is what I thought but they included the transfers on the same page making it more difficult to tell. But Thank You again You are correct. Well even without Tyler Kolek Marquette is #17 Nationally which is not bad.

A "Recruiting History" section has been added under Team at muoverload.com.

I will add additional information including star totals.

Is there any information you would like to see added to this?

Great stuff. Thank you. I think it would be interesting to see where someone transferred to -- either as a parenthetically (e.g., "Transfer (Iowa State)") or in its own column so it would be sortable.

Personally I don't think Bates is likely unless Kam Jones is getting the Shaka Shake. I just don't see a 6-man recruiting class being the play.

Isn't this about the time when someone jumps on 'Scoop and posts something like, "I heard [Insert Player's Name]'s family owns a business and is extremely wealthy. Maybe his family will pay and he won't use a scholarship."

Well, Emarion Ellis is only 17.  There's still time for Shaka to adopt him!

Good idea!

I currently have where players transferred to or from on the roster page but I will add it to the recruiting page as well.

Quick question. Theo John is allowed to return without counting against the scholarship cap, because of the COVID rule.

Can Elliott graduate, and claim the same, or is it forbidden because of a redshirt year?

Like this idea!  Guessing it's not allowed but I like screwing the system like that!

Should this thread be renamed "MU Recruiting Carousel"?

Remember when transfers were committing everywhere except Marquette and things were very quiet around here?

Then Ellis committed out of the blue and every time I check Scoop someone new has committed.

Had O-Max joined last year, it would've moved the class ranking from 21 up to 12 nationally. He was a 4-star recruit and 247 Sports actually had him higher than Oso.

It's been more than an hour since a new player was announced for Marquette. I'm bored.

I like the idea of Theo returning.  He is in the transfer portal now which was a surprise since he said he was done.  You think, since we have no center, a Theo return is possible?  Or neither Shaka or Theo are interested?

I thought it was a slightly feasible scenario -- like, maybe 10% -- up to about 48 hours ago, before Shaka added 87 players. Gotta think 0.00% now.

And that's probably best for both parties. Out with the old ...
