Dayton's recruiting successes are a reminder how important an electrifying season can be. Reminds me of Marquette landing Dameon Mason & then the Amigos in the wake of Wade. Dayton doing the same post-Toppin, and also why this past year going from projected top-10 to 10-seed was so disappointing not just in the short but also the long term.

Don't want to call anyone a must get but this one is pretty close for this class.  Think it'll be Illinois, though

Pretty sure we won't have to cancel the program if he goes elsewhere, and if he goes to Illinois it will make Doc Weenie happy.

But sure, I definitely hope he joins our fun.

Not cancel the program but I do think it's the difference between another Greg Jamal and Theo class where our senior leaders have barely made an impact vs having a highlight recruit to keep classes balanced

Agree, Eagle. We've had a lot of "misses" lately, but the only one that really hurt was DaRon Holmes.  Mac E is our other high priority recruit. Get him and the class is a good one. Miss and this class is a disappointing one.

I'd be happy with either Etienne or Aidoo, but it's definitely a bit disappointing without one or the other. I am a bit more at ease knowing Theo John is eligible for a fifth season and seems unlikely to be on NBA radars, though he may just want to move on.

We have to get this recruit over the goal line. That said, we have a lot going in our favor . We were first to offer. Mac has built a relationship with both Wojo and DK which is very helpful. We have paid a lot of attention to him which is important . Finally Mac see a clear role for him in our scheme of things.  All that said the competition also has their plus factors.

Hopefully , D Wade is somewhere in the background making the case for MU, as his son Zaire is playing at the same prep school as Mac this year .

That PSA cardinal connection is one the coaching staff has been diligently building. Came close with Hasahn French, signed Jose as you point out, now in early with Mac.

I feel like Theo would come back. If theres a role for Jamal he may just return to finish out with Greg. I think Koby is done.

I agree about Koby, 5 years after this one. Jamal and Theo will depend on playing time this year.
